Was going to go to Dortmund's game last night, but a combination of bad weather and horrendous roadworks kept me at home. So I watched the game in a sports bar. I sat with a group of Dortmund, Bochum and Hannover fans. I'm an anti social git. I don't like people generally, so I didn't speak to anyone. At half time I heard them all discussing attendances. A Bochum fan mentioned a team in the English 3rd division who were getting 28000. One of the Dortmund fans named us. He knew a lot about us, mentioned the cup runs last year, the age of the club, first floodlit game and us being top this year after a poor start. He even mentioned Billy Sharp, who they all seemed to have heard of. The consensus was that crowds like that would be unthinkable in the German third tier. One of the Bochum fans then went on his phone and spent 5 mins reading out facts about us. So well done all of you who have gone and go,week in and week out. You have got the Blades recognised and respected, abroad.
