If you use something like Movavi Screen Capture and record the Blades highlights (not Sky's) then you can analyse frame by frame, and move back and forth at will to get a more objective look at it. Carruthers cuts inside his man and it's such a tight turn the defender ends up looking in the opposite direction. He has his arms out for balance. He can't see Carruthers. His trailing left peg clips Carruthers and he knows it because his arms then immediately assume the innocent "I never touched him ref" posture, even though he can't know whether his man has gone to the turf or not. The ref is better sighted than the camera and gave the correct decision.
If we say Carruthers went down too easily I think we under-estimate the pace he was going at and the delicacy of the "dribble".
This fella is going to get a few penalties for us - get used to it folks!
