And i just heard Chris Wilder expressing the same sort of concerns on RS,he must have read the thread.

Is Chris Wilder a lurker on here.
I bet he has a sneaky look on the rare occasions he's not working.

Actually, I do more than that and quite often make a post or two.

I don't want anyone to know though, so keep it under your hat.

Chris
I'd always assumed you were David Weir.

We got one on Saturday against Sc-untys,name of Mike Jones, you have to go back a few seasons to find a game he did of our's,Orient home draw 1-1.

His last game was the FA Cup game Leicester v Derby 3-1.

Is it a good or bad thing one of these top prem refs doing a Lge 1 game, will less contact be allowed, will he be whistle happy and spoil the game.

We did indeed get one! A right fecking one!

Keith Hackett ranked every PL ref, and guess who was number ONE to be cut from PL duty.?
Yes, of course it is Mike fecking Jones; who is described as too soft and inconsistent to referee at this level.

The arrogance of these PL cunts who think they should inflict crap refs on lower league teams in front of a crowd higher than 9 PL clubs average attendances.
Sorry, KH, MJ is too fecking shit for league 1 also.

I'd actually say the opposite to Hacket, he wasn't too soft at all, he was way way way to fussy, and as for his assistants, unbelievably incompetent.

And the real worry is, with Clattenburg and probably Michael Oliver going elsewhere, this bloke's going to be one of the top referees in the country. If this is the highest standard we've got then video reviews can't come soon enough.

My interpretation of 'too soft' was that he failed to stop a side who hacked, kicked, pushed and kung fooed their way through a game
.At times it resembled rugby.
I've only watched 3 minutes of the re run of Saturday and already he made 4 or 5 errors, including a penalty.

A good ref stamps his authority on the game right away, once he had let so much go early on it was pretty much open season.
2 straight reds missed.

This should be good:

Sunday, April 2 on Sky Sports called The Referees - Onside with Carragher & Neville

The great Mike Dean is on it, it will be interesting to see what he has to say.
