Blades players: Stan, Philliskirk [?] and GK Andy Leaning

I was getting married as this game was being played. One of my mates had a transistor radio, and was giving me the thumbs up as I was saying my vows :)
A 3-2 win. I also seem to remember that the arrogants were getting beaten by the other Manchester team on the same day. Twas a good wedding night.

The old black and white building is haunted or the bit nearest the square which was once Proctors furniture shop is, workers wouldn't go in the attic or cellars alone. I have heard stories of salespeople following customers upstairs only to find no one there and no other way out.

Brunswick just a little further up. You can just see a small 'Tankard' sign on their building. Used to be distinctive yellow tiles which a number of Whitbread (Tennants) pubs had. The Barleycorn and was it the Royal Oak bottom of Cemetery Road(?) are just a couple of examples.
