We should not be signing squad fillers,we've done that constantly and it gets you nowhere
Any players signed should be better than what we already have. I don't think O'Shea is any better
Especially if we want to play in the Championship next season

Or is that too negative ???? having not seeing him play every week and only having the true statistics to hand
Where you going to get better than Fleck Duffy and this season's Coutts?

Spells the end of Scoogs if JOS signs.

Unlikely to be offered a contract in the summer in any event.

UTB

Carruthers and Fleck with Coutts gone in Summer if rumours are true that he's resisting the 1 year extension? Coutts is playing really well this season but he always looks less than happy to be here when he comes over to take corners etc. Maybe he doesn't buy into "the project?"

I would've thought so, and I hope so, but I think Scougall has an appearance related contract extension clause and Wilder seems to get him on the pitch as often as possible so maybe he's trying to trigger it. Either way, he seems to rate him and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets another contract.

And in which section is the main thread on the player? Have a guess
I don't care what section it's in on a forum..........It's still not as rumour he's talking to us...it's a fact.
Plus.......it wasn't in the rumours section when I posted....;-)

I have to say I haven't heard this rumour, praying to god it isn't true as if we do go up he'll be one of few that has experience at the level above :/

What's not to like about this signing. So apparently gone stale which you can imagine a few years at a struggling club will do for you, yet has 8 goals and 8 assists in a side which has been rooted in the bottom 4 for most of the season.

Can play behind Sharp or out wide. Just needs a Wilder freshen up and watch him go. bargain

He doesn't have a choice in not getting the extension. It's automatic so unless he refuses to play he gets extended.

Understood mate but Wilder wants people with 100% focus on the way he wants things to pan out. Maybe Coutts isn't buying into it OR maybe CW is already thinking of NOT triggering the extension. I hope Coutts is fully on board as he's quality when he wants to be.

ITV Calendar news mentioned J O'Shea was imminent as a loan deal tonight. I guess that both clubs had to be aware that the news would be out. Hopefully just waiting the ink drying.

NB No mention of a dodgy fax machine here:)

I think that is problem, when he wants to be.

Yep - a loan until the end of the season. Perfect.

He's been excellent all season. That suggests he's "buying into it". Tufty is full of praise for him on a regular basis. This is a non-issue.

Still not at all sure what position O'Shea plays. I'd always considered him some sort of cultured central midfielder, but whenever I've seen him described recently it's always been "winger". Maybe he's a direct replacement for Chapman?

5th columnist within the ranks, unsure who, but clearly there's a so-called ITK who seeks to disrupt.....FUKEMOFFFFF!!! (let me know where my royalty payment is to be paid to).

Ditto. I've no idea what to expect from the bloke other than two legs and the ability to kick a football better than I can.

Maybe it's a discussion for another day, but I'm pretty sure that Duffy, Carruthers and O'Shea's preferred position is the number 10 (as was).

It'll be interesting to see how it pans out and if we ever see all 3 on the pitch together. I would assume the DuffMarster's place is pretty secure.

Chessy mate of mine said it was done yesterday.

He said he's a "good player who will chip in with his fair share of goals". Also said he is "better suited to a team pushing for promotion rather than one in a relegation scrap".

It's an interesting 'problem' to have. Whether one will be sacrificed, or whether Wilder will somehow be able to accommodate all three, it's a great position to be in. Given some of the current posts that seem to have lost any sense of perspective, we're in a far better position when it comes to the choice of player we have to select from than we've had in a long time. I've got a lot of time for CW and his ability to want a certain type of player, and this means no mediocre, technically poor types.

Apparently deal finalised this morning, guessing that means he can't pay tonight
