He's good defensively. He doesn't just make up the numbers, it's going forward where he fucks me off. But after seeing Done back in the line up I've set Lafferty as my wallpaper on my phone, tablet and computer.

Yet our winning run was all down to Runaround Done, who didn't even make the numbers up, and was equally anonymous at wing-back, today?

I know who's the better footballer of the two!

No distress although I imagine if Lafferty still isn't fit Tuesday, Riley will start.

Done wasn't doing his offensive duties brilliantly today because he looked nervous about having to do his defensive bit. He almost looked like he wanted to stay in position on the off chance that the ball would come back at us down their right.

This thread wasn't one aimed at knocking Done, it was more in praise of Lafferty.

Don't want to bang on about 'unseen work' ( ;) )... but defending is about shape and communication also....we look a lot better with Lafferty in, and the stats ( unfortunately) back this up.

Not sure how Done's ended up back on the wing...just never really worked for me...

And you just couldn't resist could you. Done is no wingback but at the same time you can't pin the last two results on him either though I'm sure you'll try to find a way. Defensively it's Jake Wright missing in the centre of the back 3 for me
 
Felt sorry for Done. If people think he looks like a headless chicken up front, he looked completely lost today. Offered us nothing going forward and poor in defence. Not necessarily pinning the blame on him today, as the defending from the throw-ins was woeful through out, but you don't go up with Done at wing back.

Two points dropped. Feels like a loss today because we should've had more. On to the next game and I expect better.

I think it will take more than Lafferty to sort out the mess at the back but he's obviously a better option than Done.
 
Makes you appreciate the contribution Lafferty gives us. What I would like to know is why is Jake Wright not playing? He gives us organisation and is no nonsense. We just look all over the place without him sometimes. I really don't get why Wilder hasn't put him back into the team. It's very frustrating.
 
Why don't we have adequate cover in our vital wing back positions?

I don't know much about this lad on loan from man utd if he plays wing back or not, but it sounds like all the goals are being conceded down the left hand side and a lack of cover is concerning.

Teams win throws all over the pitch. It's how the team deals with them that matter but if Dones involved let's just blame him eh? Would you have pinned the blame on Freeman if it had been on the other side? We both know the answer to that. Done is no wingback granted but it's now becoming a joke as to how some fans can manage to blame him for almost everything

Let's watch it back and see what led to the throw. As I said, the first was the worst one. They got into our box from the left way too easily.

Whether either were Done's fault or not, he shouldn't be playing there. He's just not good enough, full stop.

as I've said throws happen all the time. It's how we deal with them and that was down to the centre halves and keeper. Come on Ricky, even your not that naive

My initial post points out both goals originated from the left. They did.

Something has to lead to the throw in. There's a reason for them to be in that position. As I said, let's see what led to that one. OK?
