James Wallace - contract cancelled

James Wallace's contract with United has been cancelled.


The midfielder is now a free agent after his injury-hit spell with the Blades was concluded by mutual consent.


He played just 20 times for the Blades and has most recently been on loan at Tranmere Rovers.

Best of luck, it wasn't his fault. His body just gave up on him.

Top player when fit and fitness permitting could've been playing 2 tiers up from where we are now. As it stands I think he'll be out of the game altogether this time next season, at least in a playing capacity.

Hope he can sort his problems out one day and get himself a career in the football league, he certainly has the talent and application.

I don't think this has been the only thing that has 'held us back'. Poor decisions, appointments (both managerial as well as playing staff), and a generally lacklustre approach to running this club as a dynamic business, something I hope will now be a constant in the way the club pushes forward.
