Do not understand why anyone would want a Union flag. I'm English, so is Sheffield. What's Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales got to do with any of this?

The flag should be in the custody of Foxy and Linz ......
Do you suffer from OCD Sean Thornton?![]()
Cheers, it was a genuine question.Depends which internet opinion you mine.
Union Flags are meant to be flown from the jackstaff (i.e. the bow) of naval vessels, at which they become a 'Union Jack', to donate the nationality of the vessel. It's not a Union Jack, unless it is flown from a jackstaff, it's simply a 'Union Flag'.
Civvies who have had no military connection like the term 'Union Jack', because it brings about the notion of battle and patriotism and is less bland than Union Flag.
I love it how people use the White Ensign as some sort of nationalistic emblem too.

They sound like questions to me.Why are there question marks at the end of your sentences? BM exile?
We're Yorkshiremen, English and British.
whoa...... Derbyshire used to start about quarter of mile from Bramall Lane and a heck of a lot of supporters come from there. With a bit of luck we'll have loads of Chinese students at matches soon too.

I'd love to be Welsh just to have the Dragon on my flag
In our crest we have a nod to Yorkshire and Sheffield. When I was young, in the 70's and 80's, the union flag was by far the most popular with footie fans. No one used the cross of St George as it was strongly associated with the far-right. Somehow, during the 90's, the St George flag seemed to regain its respectability in England - perhaps devolution in Scotland, Wales and NI played a part.
As far as I'm concerned, a flag of St George, Union flag and Yorkshire rose are all acceptable. We're Yorkshiremen, English and British.
Wow, so that's a Union Jack flag.......never seen one before!here's a "Union Jack" as flown from the Jackstaff

Go and stand at the back of the class.
When you can be good, you can come and play with the other boys.
There will be no leek-muncher love ins on here, thank you very much.
(Disppointed that I was first to this and saddened that Tyler could not raise the requisite level of abuse. Welsh, FFS!)
Yep, Trevor Hockey, Gil Reece etc were a right bunch of tossers weren't they.
