We did have a flag (under the previous forum name). It was a massive pain in the arse to lug around and find adequate positioning for it.

If anyone wants to organise it, by all means go for it. But count me out of carrying it!

Trevor Hockey was born in Keighley and qualified for Wales because his Nan liked daffodils.

No they weren't, neither was Len Allchurch, Dave Powell or any other Welshman who represented us. I suspect the post was somewhat tongue in cheek rather than meaning to offend anyone.

Anyhow, they've got the best national anthem ever so that makes up for all their other shortcomings. (the French have the second best, it seems so unfair to be frank).

I think the flags @ Bramall Lane looks fantastic - it's the only stadium in England with flags all round the rooves of the stands isn't it?

Got to say, I liked it best when they had lots of different flags of different nations but I think they came with the opening of the south stand in 1976.

I am definitely not the kind of person who feels a need to belong to any sort of club, or badge, or emblem, or assemble under someone's banner or flag. Supporting Sheff Utd is the only club or banner I assemble under - and even here I don't feel a need to deck myself out in red and white football kit or paint my house in red and white stripes.

We're all different I suppose - and for some folk they really need this kind of social inclusion to feel they "belong". I won't be gathering under anyone's flag I'm afraid. I'll be stood there by myself, with a hanky over my head in summer, that's all.

Yep, Trevor Hockey, Gil Reece etc were a right bunch of tossers weren't they.

Talk about making up an agenda! I didn't say anything about Welsh players, just that we don't need any Welsh symbolism in our badge/flags.

We come from the best county in the country (DirtyLeeds excepted) and we are an English club. We have had good Welsh players play for us in the past and will likely do so in the future, but why we want anything Welsh on our flag?

Swansea and Cardiff shouldn't even be playing in our Leagues. They have their own wonderful FA of Wales anb they should be playing Bangor and Airbus City every week IMHO.

Sabella was a decent player too, so should we incorporate the Argentinian blue and white stripes?
