Rob Staton is a Blade

I couldn't care less who each presenter supports.

Pigs think Radio Sheffield and the Star show bias towards us. We think the complete opposite. Donny, Dingles and Rotherham supporters think it's unfair to everything outside of Sheffield.
People on the right side of politics think the BBC is run by commies and SJWs. People on the left think there's an underlying right wing bias to everything they broadcast.

It's impossible to be entirely impartial. Take what you want from something and don't get too upset when there's something said/written that's not as favorable as you would want.

I agree with the whole post apart from the Sheffield Star bit, even Wednesday fans know the star favours them, my brother is an owl and he thinks they do, he also finds it hilarious how much it winds my Blade Dad up.

Well. You think you've got a bit of juicy gossip, you come on here expecting to farm some likes, and you find out some bloke on the train was taking the piss. Can you excuse me for a moment, lads? I've got to go and get all this egg off my face.
You're lucky it's just egg ;)

Neither the Star nor the radio hacks are "against is" but there is absolutely no doubt that each of them give the Pigs substantially more airtime or column inches, as the case may be. That is, quite simply, bias.

Utter bullshit. Would a blade have a photo of the pigs walking out at the AMEX as his twitter header- would he fuck

I always thought he was a Wednesday fan. He does well to hide it on RS though and always comes across impartial to me. I actually think he's the best presenter, or at least the one I enjoy listening to must.

The issue here is that they must be professional and convince themselves to be neutral.

However as explained by some ex presenters during the Radio Sheffield anniversary week
Most presenters said that they may have teams they preferred as a kid but
When they are working at all the local clubs meeting the managers and players
Then overtime they develop genuine postive feelings of support towards ALL the local clubs.

It was a similar situation with Derek Dooley
Brougt up a massive Wednesday fan but he worked at our club for so long
That he eventually (over time) had equal leanings towards both Sheffied clubs.
He was once asked which Sheffield club he supports the most and he refused to answer saying he genuiely wants both Sheffield clubs to have success.

Suppose Sheff Wed was like his ex wife and Sheff Utd his new current wife.

i've also lived in many areas in the UK and always thought Radio Sheffield's commentary was a cut above. even when it appears crap, it's better than some back water sports broadcasting i've heard. As for Staton - he's an Owl - thought that was pretty well known. but i dont think his own bias shows on air.

Not like me, I'd laugh me sack off every single time anyone scored against the Muck Rollers. As well instinctively bellowing 'Arrrgghhhhh!!!' every single time they missed. I'd immediately go 'around the grounds' if they scored.

Dooley probably hated us, then he got the sack Xmas eve any allegience to the pigs went that day.
His position with us was just a job

After the 0-0 draw in Easter Monday 1971 he dismissed our promotion chances but he ate his humble pie a few weeks later and congratulated us

I was on the kop - can still see Reece(I think!) been dropped in the penalty box - ref, bottled it.

Would have been the double as well
