OK, a mini melt down is in progress, and people who I converse with on here regularly know I'm not just a clapper, but tonight I'm seeing Green shoots...

We've gone for them from the start, good fast passing, quick ball into the box, go after them, get the lead.... Great..

So, world class Chelsea who currently sit third after seasons of billionaire investment have run out 4-1 winners after winning the league may I add a few times along the way, and it stings a little.

However I'm sure we're all in agreement that we're playing in a division we (definately I did) never thought we could reach, with a manager who walked on water 6 months ago..

Please keep focus, please keep faith, there really is nobody better for us now, or in the future, hope the Prince reads this bit we need to put back into Chris Wilder what he's put into the club, now is not the time to point fingers, now is the time to come together and show him the loyalty that he's earned...

There isn't anybody else out there to touch him, we go down from the billionaire owned premier league, so be it, who gets us back up?

Criticise by all means, but getting rid, if you think that, are you a blade? Really?

Don't forget what he's done for us now he needs us to support him...

I don't want Wilder out. But I think we may well go down. In the long run I think it's better that we stick with someone who has earnt the right to our trust and who has the best interests of the club at heart.

He is a top, top manager. Yes we have been poor for a while and may well go down, but I think he is a clever enough bloke to change things and get us winning again. Maybe not in the prem for now, but maybe in the future, if we go down, we will get promoted again and we will learn from it and be better off.

I think tempo is key. The way we started the game was brilliant as our tempo we so quick. If we can do more of that we will start to pick up more points.

I dont want Wilder out. But I think we may well go down. In the long run I think it's better that we stick with someone who has earnt the right to our trust and who has the best interests of the club at heart.

He is a top top manager. Yes we have been poor for a while and may well go down, but I think he is a clever enough bloke to change things and get us winning again. Yes... But put in the loyalty he has, I'm sure you've enjoyed the ride, like we all have, and criticise by all means, but you must also look at the options should the criticism force the princes hand or that Chris says "I've done as much" and walks..

Wilder is a rare breed.... All I'm saying is "for me" we can do worse... Robson.. Is something we need to acknowledge.. The Robson factor... It was donkeys recovering... Let's wait for the fat lady to clear her throat.. Keep the faith..it can be and has been much worse..

Sorry this will only happen with investment of 100's of millions of £s. Changing manager will not change this fact at all. Bring who you want in, but without spending a fortune we will be struggling every season. To become a well established club means financial backing that very few have [how much have Everton & WHU spent in the last 5 years? 100's of millions & have won nothing & spent most of the time in the bottom half of the table.

The PL is about money & not managers, so give me CW & whatever happens I am willing to accept. If that means we are not good enough, well that's it!

Well said, heart soul passion and perspective... I dint think I'd see us back in this league such is the magnitude and financial clout needed just to try and keep in the bottom three.. Or get in but against all odds here we are..

What I'm trying to get accross is, I'd have wilder to lead us back, and otherwise I couldn't see it, we'd repeat our recent managerial history..

Imho the issue now is as much mental as tactical.

Yeah certain players aren't performing to high levels, some new players need time but aren't looking remotely good enough, we're conceding soft goals for fun especially at the back stick, injuries have hurt us etc etc.

However, at the start of last season we came up with momentum and took great confidence from picking up points early.

At the start of this we came off a losing flat end to last season despite the great season overall. Lockdown took away our momentum and whilst we had a few great results afterwards we still finished flat.

We've looked as suspect in the games against lesser opposition as we have in the games against the top teams.

Yeah we've had a tough start on paper but the pressure is now ramping up with each passing week.

It will be difficult now to play with the freedom and abandon in the games against the bottom half teams.

We set off well tonight. Played football, got into them and got the early goal. However, as soon as they came back some heads dropped and we either lumped it or passed it backwards.

The second half was bad but that passage of play at the end of the first half summed us up. Into injury time with less than a minute left and a bit of decent possession but instead of having a go we were happy to go back to the keeper.

Another great post, making great points, we were dead lucky last season with injury and riding a wave of seeming invincibility, we knew the squad was thin but injury didn't hit and we never really understood the fuss, this season is different, Injury's have devestated us at both ends of the pitch..

The "time share" feel of owning a rolls royce of a keeper isn't lost on me either..

Although hendo hasn't faced the shots ramsdale has already last season... It think that's a big miss too.. But an indicator of what quality is actually needed in this division... He's on the bench at MUFC. That's a reality check isn't it if there were one..

You’d have to be a complete bottom feeder to honestly think we should get rid of Wilder. There is absolutely no one else who would fair better than him at this moment and going forward.

That doesn’t change the fact that we have turned to shit since lockdown 1.0 and the teams that we were beating last year suddenly appear a division or two above us in quality. It is obviously going to frustrate.

On here and other social media platforms, the Prince is a well known tech aware man, his favourite game was something daft like football manager, I would hazard a guess that he'll be monitoring the feeling of the support base any way he can, so it'll be forums and twitter, so a long shot and without compromising anybody I'd think he will read this forum at some point.. And I'm not tagging foxy or linz..

It's his business, he' ll want to know what his customers think, it couldn't be easier than logging on this forum.. This is the fan base, in reality.. Them that care enough to chat shit anyway..

That's exactly as I see it, I was more panicked after the Fulham game, if we aren't good enough then we aren't, it's life, but I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater on a knee jerk reaction... There isn't anybody regardless of the team they support that suits this club more than wilder, some fucker posted he had to go.. This is why I've put this.. Yesterday's hero Is tomorrow's legend... And that's wilder..

IMO we massively over-achieved last season and the credit for that goes to the management team and the players.
I think that has given the fans a false sense that this group of players should always be competitive in this league, people were talking of pushing higher and getting into the European places which just isn’t realistic.
With our budget and players we need Everything to go for us, and last season it did.
We had no serious injuries, we surprised teams with our unique formation and style of play, our fans were the most vociferous in the league which the players fed off, and a big thing was some of the so-called bigger teams massively under-achieved including Arsenal, Tottenham and even Chelsea who were in a major transition with young players and no signings.
Contrast this with now. JOC out for the season, Hendo gone, no fans in the ground, other teams aware of how we play, and the bigger teams have invested massively. That Chelsea side today look on another level to last season.
We have probably gone back a bit, and definitely lack intensity but that’s difficult to replicate when they normally feed off the crowd.
How do we do our best to get out of this? It’s down to coaching and man-management, as we don’t have a checkbook to throw at it.
If anyone can think of a better coach than Knilly and a better man-manager than Wilder (bearing in mind their achievements with us and previous teams) who would be prepared to join us then it would be enlightening to hear who they are?
If they can’t find a way out of this I don’t believe anyone else could either, and if we do go down they are best positioned to make a good go at getting us back up at the first attempt.
We have a great Manager and a first rate coach in position, I’m sure most true Blades will back them and give them a bit of respect for the job they’ve done as they deserve our loyalty.
