I know this is not about a specific player but i saw an article in the Star earlier from James Shield about Wilder wanting a new winger. Wilder said: “We’re looking at that position because, with Harry being out, that’s an area where we’re a little bit light. There’s only really (Mark) Duffy who can go and be an out and out wide player which is something we’re mindful of. “Obviously we’ve got a few targets because, if possible, it’s a situation we want to try and sort out.”
So it looks like a new winger is Wilder's number one priority in this transfer window, probably someone that can play on both sides and in the centre as well similarly to Duffy, the one player that stands out to me as a quite obvious target is Ricky Holmes from Charlton. Played under Wilder last season at Northampton and was a stand out player and scored some quality goals with both feet so he seems to be very two footed. He seems to be unsettled at Charlton since he signed for them in the summer and hasn't really shone for them, maybe a move to us would suit him and us because it looks like from what he did last season Wilder can get the very best out of him and when hes playing well he is quality and would bring many more goals into midfield. P.s. you have to look his goals up on youtube they are world class finishes some of them.
Also i saw something in an article about Reece Brown's contract expiring next month and will leave the club if he is not offered a new one (he's awful anyway) so he is likely to be replaced i should think. I know someone has already done a thread on him but Conor McLaughlin is surely someone we will be after, he is looking to leave Fleetwood in this window and is proven at club and international level.
