If United were in Cov's position any form of protest would be tut-tutted by the happy clappers in our support ... FACT!
Well, yours must be as bad then, considering Sheffield United are the 19th best supported English club of all time and we are 20th.
That's a condescending and roundabout way of saying some people would disagree with the manner of the protest at hand.
There's always going to be 'tut-tutters'...but can you address the question posed in the OP?
It must be shocking as I've always associated Coventry with shit support*. I shall go and hang my head.Well, yours must be as bad then, considering Sheffield United are the 19th best supported English club of all time and we are 20th.
WHY ARE YOU ON HERE!!!! Get yerself offWell, it isn't. Good try again though. I believe we took more to you on a Sunday (noon KO, on Sky) in a worse position than you managed tonight.
Everything Cov fans were doing and more. And so would everyone on here, despite the outrage during the match.
No it isn't, my friend. You don't really appear to know much about football. Coventry's support has always been on par with Sheffield United's since attendances have been recorded.
how horrible it was when Barnsley fans were 6 years ago gloating at our relegation when they went 3-2

You sight ONE game.... and pick the one where you were doing well at the time. It's the week before Xmas and personally I would have gone if it wasn't on Sky. We took over 3000 to Charlton a couple of weeks back and have consistently averaged around the 19,000 mark in 6 years in this league. Figures you can only dream of. I have sympathy for your cause but not with your actions. Come back to me when your not talking out of your arseWell, it isn't. Good try again though. For me personally, I understand there frustration. There's a lot of bad owners at the moment and something needs to be done.
HouchensHead , can you not answer the question then because you've answered other posts afterwards? Nope, well fuck off then back to your own forum and try to start supporting your team instead of getting the mardies on and taking it out on us. Fuck Off!Do me a favour mate, try telling me what it is you're actually protesting about, whilst at the same time trying to derail the club I supports', promotion push?
It also doesn't factor in what division teams were in...Cov have spent longer in the top flight than us over the last 40 years, and didn't we average 15k in the old 4th division in a recession, when crowds were a lot lower across the country...and Coventry were getting 10k in the top flight.Ah but what he doesn't say is that Coventry didn't join the league until 1919.
Wherea United had already joined the league in 1889 in an era when attendance were at their lowest ever.
I beleove in the 1890's we averaged just over 2,000 one season.
If you start like for like from 1919 then United have been much much better supported.
Our average support is nearer 25,000 after the 1st world war.
It's a similar arguement with the Leeds and West Ham averages.
Both clubs didn't enter league football until the 1920's.
In fact Leeds City did play and had really poor gates before the 1st world war but they were shut down
And restarted as a new club with their records scrapped from the statistics of Leeds United.
