From memory the total cost including the South Stand extension was £27m, with £17m being allocated for the South Stand. So presumably about £10m for the kop plus inflation since the plans were announced.
Which btw makes even more a mockery of the figures Strafford plucked out of thin air to virtually rebuild Hillsborough for the WC bid, £23m for the lot. Money he hadn't got and totally reliant on hoped for grants, whereas McCabe stated at the time he would personally fund Bramall Lane.
If your about to infer the money should be spent on players if such a sum were available, don't bother. Totally different financial funding regulations apply. Spending money on the ground doesn't neccasarily mean investment in the team would be adversely affected.
