This post is a 'should I, or Shouldn't I?' As it is a duplicate of a post on another blades board of which some will and won't be aware of. So here goes.....

So the feel good factor really seems to be returning, but as we all know, and seemingly we also have a manager who knows, just one game at a time. Despite a good number of our upcoming games being at home, it's not time to starting counting our chickens. However would be nice to extend our run to 13 without defeat, and a run which conceivably has some legs in it yet with 6 of our next 8 (I believe) being at home. Contrast that with Shrewsbury who have one win in 10 and without an away win in 5 games! Cue banana skin...

Anyway...

Any team news?

Unchanged from the starting 11 at Chesterfield?

Or a starting recall for Scougall? (yes for me)

And pretty much the same bench line up?

There has certainly been a shift in mentality and the fans are embracing it. Even slipping a goal behind, or being pegged back doesn't start the panic stations as it has over the last 2 or 3 seasons - perhaps much longer in fairness. A repeat of the result of a few weeks ago would do nicely, but Shrewsbury will come and scrap. Likely to try to hit us on the break so patience is the order of the day. What difference an early goal for us would make though, and if that happens this could get ugly for The Shrews. So go on then, I'll allow myself to get carried away and suggest 5-1. However 3 points is the only requirement at this stage, so any kind of victory will be just as EPIC.

We are in division 3 which it will have taken 283 matches at lesst to escape if we do it. A long long way to go.

Say what you like about Deadman but from where I'm sitting you'll never see two easier decisions. Lafferty takes a touch in their six yard box and gets scythed down from behind, then Coutts must've done something awful to their lad before the match because he decided to go for a leg breaker.

Good to see you posting these as it appears I have had my shout box privileges taken away the naughty man that I am. I've been desperate to praise the Blades on the shout box for the first time ever. I wonder what it feels like.

It's actually quite frustrating we haven't scored more.

Some of them need to concentrate more when shooting towards goal. 68 mins vs 10 and 45 vs 9, this should be 5-0 minimum given we were 2-0 after 24 mins.

Come on United, put them to the sword!

We lost the second half 1-0. Unbelievable really, but a win is a win UTBFTP.

Hopefully the sort of warning where we got away with it but Wilder gives them an almighty one to get then to focus more.

Appreciate I'm setting myself up here but losing that second half 11 vs 9 is fucking garbage. They want a right rollicking.

Billy wants to start taking proper pens too. I've always thought that in the middle is unnecessarily risky.

3 points, 13 unbeaten. Hopefully enough for Wilder to refocus them for Bury.

Should have been at least 7-1. One of those games where it just doesn't go in then they score a stunner out of nowhere

Barca drew 0-0 today against Malaga who went down to nine men. As Wilder said "a slight frustration but a wins a win"

Crap second half i thought. Shouldve killed it. In the end i was Glad we had the nous to wind the clock down and keep possession in the last few minutes.

Another three points, run continues into second game in hand. Certainly made hard work of it against nine men, more composure in front of goal and our goal difference would and should have looked a lot better tonight. Pretty sure CW will have stated that to the players and will be ironed out on the training ground. Only downer the injuries to Duffy, Coutts and Freeman hopefully nothing to serious on wards and upwards.

Presumably Billy is our best penalty taker, which is worrying because he never instils me with confidence whenever he steps up to take one.

And, really, who didn't think this at 3.30 or so?

Disappointed it wasn't more considering the circumstances but if we gain 3 points in every game from now til then we are going up.

I had us for 5-0 at the start of the match and my Mum had 3-1. She really needs to quiten down when the oppo scores. I think what it did show is how well Duffy, Coutts and Fleck gel.

To be fair it was a good penalty.
I actually predicted before he took it that he'd smash in down the middle into the roof of the net like he's done a few times. The problem is the keeper must have seen some of his previous penalties and he choose NOT to dive BUT stand upright and he guessed right.

It was more a good save than a poor effort. At least the miss didn't affect the result.
