“Thats done it for me.evans clapped blunts when he was subbed.fxxkoff back there.injured my arxe!! “

Surely the worst comment of the lot. Evans knows how many fans here supported him throughout (not pretending to be one of them, wrong as I was) and you can't really fault him for showing a bit of respect in return. Moaning about Evans would even make some sense if he hadn't been their best player by a distance. It was game over for them the moment he left the pitch.

Surprised I'm yet to see any moaning about his lack of celebration of their goal.

Me too.

Mind, he didn't show too much respect when he bowled Moore over, or left a foot in on Fleck. But, hey, he clapped politely at fans who were applauding him after getting injured.

“Just stood at the side of the pitch all game, with arms crossed and not saying a word to any players. Says it all to me. Sit down"

I seem to recall seeing a post or two about this before somewhere...

I noticed that too. They all huddled and he kinda just walked up half hearted.

Actively took himself out of the way, then slowly wandered towards them

Weirdo's View From Chesterfield.........

Cheers as always Roy.....Hoped to see a bit more pain and hair pulling but overall the general theme is that of a club heading in one direction...And well....whilst I wouldn't usually gloat, this lot have been rather rude regarding us in the last couple of weeks on their boards.....therefore.....

I am over the moon!......I hope Allen leaves them bankrupt and I hope Wilson takes them down......I then hope that this triggers a chain of reactions which leads to long term rot setting in and the club falling into non-league football for a very, very long time.....

And if you hate our fine city that much.....Then stop phoning our radio station and get your own football phone in........nobs!

UTB ........FTS!

What I really liked about the whole day was the after match response. Sharpe gathering the players to applaud the fans and Wilder joining in and thumping his chest.

There's a real togetherness and 'we're all in it together' about this squad and us fans. I feel it, for the first time since that first season down in this league

Too right!

A certain someone might say that we're "United Together"...

... and follow it up with...

It's a long hard grind; Satdi, Tuesdi, Satdi, Tuesdi. We've all got the same aim blah blah blah blah endeavour blah blah blah blah honest, hard working professionals blah blah blah blah.

My god, I'm glad we're rid of that bollocks.

Long live Wilder and the Blades' revival!

Great to put that little club back in its place.
Nasty little shit hole with allusions of grandeur.
Can't wait until we never have to play the likes of them again.

Was going to criticise them for spelling and grammar, but you ruined it! Agree with the sentiment though. :)

To be fair to Wilson, what would've happened if they'd tried to match us like Bradford did? There is a reason they are bottom and a reason we are free scoring, you can't be happy with conceding 4 but it could've been a whole lot worse.

That post is very very harsh....but very very fair. :)

I have no time for Chessie. Didnt used to mind em but i have a long memory and recall them crowing off about how 'the footballing power has changed' after they beat us 3 - 2 at their place a couple of seasons ago and how we were just crap, silly little dee dah blunts. They couldnt have been less gracious in victory that day. So for those little twits who rang up radio sheffield full of themselves and full of hatred for those despised dee-dahs, i can only wish you a very sh*t season and relegation by March. Hope they enjoyed the feeling of getting battered on their home patch by their natural big city betters. It was pay back for those nasty little twats from that day 2 years back. Enjoy my six fingered friends.

There's a chessie fan rings up Footy Heaven on a regular basis and at every opportunity doesn't hold back at having a dig at our club and fans

Basically says we are a nothing club

For that reason alone, take that! :)

If,as so many on this thread seem to think,Chesterfield are a tin pot waste of space Lge 2/Non league outfit with a shit ground,no fans etec etc blah blah fucking blah,I'd have thought being billy big bollux after beating them is kinda sad and pointless.
After all,their wank aren't they.
12 games decent in our 6th season in the same tin pot league and plenty are already coming accross like the arrogants.
Sad.No dignity.
Love the win. No need to trash talk opponents.

You obviously don't read then

We read them.
We just don't think childish digs are anything other than cringeworthy.
We are above Chesterfield and some think it's clever to make fun of them for that.
By that logic you should be fine with the Pigs taking the piss out of us.

Chesterfield are in a strange place at the moment. I think that they got carried away a couple of years back when they seemed to be going places. New ground, new owners and everything seemed to be rosy as they got promoted to League 1 under Paul Cook. They had a very decent side for a while and they played some excellent football. As i live in Chesterfield, i like to keep an eye on how they're doing and went to the boxing day game against Peterborough the year before last as a mate had free corporate tickets. They demolished Posh that day and Paul Cook masterminded a good win with a side that was perhaps at its peak.

The big mistake they made was bringing Dean Saunders in when Cook left, he wasn't the right fit for them and was really only a bit of a name. It was never going to work.

Bringing Danny Wilson in was right, but they've sold off all of the stars that they had and they've recently realised that even with these sales, they've only made a tiny profit. They've realised that they don't have any money and with gates now averaging much lower than they really expected, they're not really likely to go anywhere soon unless they bring their own youngsters through or pick up little gems like Doyle or Morsy again.

Wilson and Morgan perhaps need to be smarter in their signings and today they looked tired (lack of fitness?). Ched going off really reduced their outlet to a tricky winger in Ariyibi, they simply need Ched fit. Humphreys and Evatt are good experienced pros but they're overweight and at the wrong end of their careers.

Chesterfield need some young blood and they're venting their anger at Dave Allen, but i don't think that Allen has ever promised them big money signings. They are a club struggling financially and until recently they were strong in the community and corporate side, but the corporate side has also gone under new management and the prices have rocketed.

They need a buyer really because they are in a cycle where they need higher attendances to generate more money, but they also need a side worth watching. And i think most of all they need to be patient with Wilson and Morgan. They showed today that they could give it a go and whilst it didn't last, the two sides were clearly miles apart. We were able to bring in decent subs in the second half and they lost their star players with injuries to be replaced by a 39 year old.

Today we struggled with them for 20 mins, but we showed that difference in class. A class that we certainly didn't have last season and we would've lost there under Adkins... They've played us at the wrong time and we hammered them 1-4

I think that's well OTT tbh. Chesterfield is an attractive place and the Proact is a nice little stadium. Their fans are definitely not under any illusions at all - in fact as a bunch of supporters they are very down to earth and humble in my experience. I know lots of them and I've always found them to be that way and be respectful of the Blades, beyond the obvious rivalry.

They are hurting a lot tonight but even here there are generous compliments paid.

Adolf Hitler succeeded to a point, by convincing his followers that the enemy were a sub human race. No need for us to try the same damning rhetoric on. a bunch of fans who are not as fortunate as us - and know it.

You could have made the same point without comparing people to Adolf Hitler.

If a kid calls me a prick then why am I in the wrong for having a go back? Just because he's 11 doesn't mean I'm not allowed to beat him into submission with my words and let him know how I could easily cripple him with a not so well timed roundhouse kick.

This is significant to the thread.

Great 3 points.

Come back in Jan Evans and the last 5 years will be like some sort bad dream.

What is this strange obsession? Am I correct in thinking 2 of our strikers scored today? And have we not scored 29 in our last 10 games? There is no reason for a striker to be signed in January. The club has moved on, it's about time everyone else did too.
