Our two most dangerous players went off injured. We hit the bar, and one of their goals was dubious. I honestly don’t think that we are a terrible side and with Tommy in net and Jones at left back we’d perhaps have done okay today.

Was that Spire Too Long posting that?

Even as football fans' hysterical overreactions go, this one seems to be particularly ridiculous:

“Dave Allen is a cancer and he needs to be physically cut out of the club. Disgusting man. Wilson is just a symptom of the problem, but he needs to go too. I do not see the club surviving a drop to the conference which seems inevitable if things continue as they are.”

They scored a great first goal and were close to scoring a couple more. Having said that sitting so deep and trying to defend for 90
minutes against a team in the form we're in is only ever going to end one way.

Liked their Abiniya? first half, looked dangerous but disappeared second half (did he go off?)

Summed it up for me when we brought on Leon and they brought on Humprey's. I was genuinely amazed he was still playing and genuinely amazed how big he was.

What I really liked about the whole day was the after match response. Sharpe gathering the players to applaud the fans and Wilder joining in and thumping his chest.

There's a real togetherness and 'we're all in it together' about this squad and us fans. I feel it, for the first time since that first season down in this league.

UTB and thanks Roy for your efforts putting up these View froms...

I have no time for Chessie. Didnt used to mind em but i have a long memory and recall them crowing off about how 'the footballing power has changed' after they beat us 3 - 2 at their place a couple of seasons ago and how we were just crap, silly little dee dah blunts. They couldnt have been less gracious in victory that day. So for those little twits who rang up radio sheffield full of themselves and full of hatred for those despised dee-dahs, i can only wish you a very sh*t season and relegation by March. Hope they enjoyed the feeling of getting battered on their home patch by their natural big city betters. It was pay back for those nasty little twats from that day 2 years back. Enjoy my six fingered friends.

They can't have been happy at the Sky commentators after their goal.

Sometime along the lines of "What an absolute dream for the little town of Chesterfield, scoring against the Big Sheffield United from the City".

Couldn't have been more patronising if they tried!

Wonder if Jones their shit ex pig full back who got Higdon sent off by acting like a dying fish on the ground, and was out later that night crowing about conning the ref in a chessie nightclub to all and sundry, is out on the town tonight complete with stupid grin on his face. I guess probably not. Snigger.

He really is a cock, that lad.

As a side-note, I always find it hilarious when fans of other clubs call us the 'blunts'. It really is a pathetic, bottom-drawer, Poundland-grade insult, and one that from memory Barnsley fans seem to enjoy whipping out... think that says it all, actually. 'The Blunts' :tumbleweed:

“Thats done it for me.evans clapped blunts when he was subbed.fxxkoff back there.injured my arxe!! “

Surely the worst comment of the lot. Evans knows how many fans here supported him throughout (not pretending to be one of them, wrong as I was) and you can't really fault him for showing a bit of respect in return. Moaning about Evans would even make some sense if he hadn't been their best player by a distance. It was game over for them the moment he left the pitch.
