Whereas im of the opinion that you cant have too many good forwards on your books. Whether that includes Mr Evans or not is another matter. A decent team should always be looking at ways to bring in another goalscorer.
 



First time I seen them this season and was reasonably happy first half but the game is 90mins and walked away embarrassed.
The players showed effort but this is not a league 1 team and unless theres a change at the top we are finishing rock bottom.
A few years ago it was Quoted we was following the same path as Leyton Orient and this time next season we may well be occupying there spot then reality will kick in.
God knows what the score would of been if we had not scored early and Sheff Utd had not played to there full potential and must mention why oh why for the life did Richie Humphreys who looked like the Mr Hubbard came on as a sub he totally killed the result with his first touch…”

Crikey SBT you clearly have a soft spot for Chesterfield. I've never seen you show compassion for a vanquished foe before.

First time I've seen Chezzie this season and I was impressed in the first half, but the second was awful for you.

Wilson is a purist, but it looks to me that he needs Evans and Ariyibi up front and 8 dogs of war stopping the opposition behind them until things stabilise.
 
unrelated point but forgot until today that richie humphreys is a die hard blade fan wonder how he felt playing against his boyhood club with a result like that
 
Not feeling any love for anybody anymore, nah, fuck em all, when we've helped em all in the past by loaning players (most famously Rotherham) and they've kicked us when we've been down fist chance they got... fuck em, hope they go bust the lot of em, they'd be dancing in the street if we did..
 
I would genuinely love to see that horrible towns club go out of business, thereby making the scruffy locals even more miserable.

I know fans of each of the other local teams in the area either cos they are mates or cos they are work collegues. To a man they either openly or have admitted on the sly that they despise Utd and their fans. I have always accepted the mutual hatred with the Pigs as that is natural and to a lesser extent i have always known that Barnsley fans have carried a real dislike for Utd for as long as ive ever known. The others though all seem to have a 'nice to your face but really they hate you attitude'. To a club the vast majority of the other local clubs dislike Utd and their fans and to be honest after i originally had nothing but goodwill to the others my attitude has changed towards them all. I dont think of them as rivals, they are too trivial for that but if you had someone who was in the alehouse who was always calling you a wanka behind your back, and making snidey comments about you, you can shrug your shoulders but you aint gunna be in love with em are you? In short all the other local clubs can all go and fuk themselves now.
 



Well if what they said about behaviour is right they are right to feel unhappy, I suspect however it's an exaggeration.

It would have been nowt but a passing comment if they had won the game. Spur grapes springs to mind. Mind u ive always thought that you should behave thisen and be a little bit discreet if you go in an opposition end cos otherwise your inviting a bit of the bollox.

I was sat in amongst the "corporate" element and yes we did cheer the goals. Why wouldn't you? We also politely applauded the Chesterfield goal. There was no lack of respect that I saw, just some sore losers. I did feel sorry for them yesterday and as a local team i hope they manage to stay up. More importantly a great second half performance that shows how far we have come. As ever UTB
 
Nothing to be concerned about with those comments. They know their boat is sinking, they don't have the resources or staff to prevent the inevitable from happening, so they choose to whinge about anything but their own sorry condition. This isn't just something that's happened, it's been a long time coming, and they must feel sick to their back teeth that they have no answers to the diabolical state they find themselves in.
 
Chesterfield had a golden opportunity a couple of seasons back when they had a really good team for division 1. But they sold the family silver off bit by bit when it needed Allen to put his hand in his pocket to bring in that little bit of quality and strength in depth to really allow them to go for it and possible promotion to the championship. The alarm bells should have been sounding from their crooked tower when Cook jumped ship and sailed off to pompey. It might have been lucrative but he dropped a division and you have to wonder if he would have done that if the team wasnt breaking up and there wasnt problems ahead. Theyve basically shot themselves in the foot.

I wasn't very nice last night, bit too harsh perhaps.

Still, when you're the subject of irrational, largely unreciprocated hatred from Sheffields outlying areas, you're bound to react at some point.

To be fair to the Preston fan the first half was a poor standard from both sides. Chezzy did well to be fair as they didn't let us settle.

Second half we looked like we were in different divisions .

Whats the beef with dem Mackens all about?
And theyre lumping us West Midlanders in as well....i know theyre probably referring to Villa,Brum, Baggies,Bluenoses but still..glad I found solace on here!
