Brayford and McNulty

Because Coutts and Freeman are professionals and will knuckle down and not sit on the sidelines whispering behind their hands. Coutts was always capable but had no motivation to work with shit for no reason. Freeman was capable at this level but bombed out for Golden Beard and got pissed off. Both, given a new chance, took it to the extent that Coutts now actually runs when required rather than half heartedly ambles. I would go as far to say he is an integral part of the side.

Mc whatever, didn't take his chance. He never takes his chance because he has not yet got it into that thick skull that turning up isn't taking his chance. He has been described on here (and by me) as the most natural goal scorer the club has got. (Note NOT striker). But to score the goals you have to get in position and to get in position you have to work and if you don't work, your team mates have to work harder to get you in position. He's not been a regular starter for any team in England and there has to be a reason apart from that nobody likes a cocky twat.

I'd rather have Done doing the headless chicken act upsetting their back four and keeper rather than Mc thingy doing his side to side, look at me moving them centre halves about act.

McNulty not took his chance? What chance was this?

He was second top scorer 2 years ago. He scored once in a few games last year then went out on loan, where he scored goals. Did he play a league game for us this year?

Everything you say is entirely subjective. If McNulty was a problem child, so was Freeman, as those players were supposedly the ones shipped out.

If anyone can give someone a fresh start, it's Wilder.

I really don't think the statement that someone with McNulty's track record would be of use to us now is outlandish. He's a forward who has scored goals in the recent past and we are currently short of forwards.

And I like Done too but you can't play pressing football with a broken jaw.

Maybe the penny will drop at some point and whoever has him will have a good finisher on there hands, having him out on loan in the final year of his contract means he will have to get his finger out or he will be back to Scotland with his tail between his legs

Neither McNulty nor Done are good enough. The deadly predators have scored, between them, the same number of goals as our centre-half.

It's the 'McCuntly Radar24' available from the app store. It alerts Tyler everytime some numpty decides what our unbeaten winning run needs is the introduction of a striker struggling to get a game for our rivals who has seemingly has exactly the opposite work rate and attitude to what a Wilder side requires and, unlike some others, didn't step up to the plate when Wilder arrived and made his mark.

Alternatively if you don't have a Smartphone, you can type the @ symbol immediately followed by the first letters of the username of the poster you want to tag, it will then bring up a list, select that and you're sorted.

Tyler Durden is an easy one as there aren't many that begin Ty.

Have a go ChipButtyBlade

Carlos Fandango does he post much :tumbleweed:..............................thank you Bladepicker

Brayford himself has said that he is open to a return.

I think the current 3 at the back with wing backs would suit Brayford's game much better, provided his head and his heart are in the right place. Freeman has generally done well and only struggles a bit when we go to the flat back 4 IMHO. Brayford's link up play with Coutts was decent at times, and that was when Coutts wasn't playing well

maybe we need Roygbiv to do another view from on our loan players so we can decide if they should come back based on other fans' views of them.....

Brayford played wing back plenty of times last season, and he was shite.

You've missed the bit where we've changed the manager and several players have improved significantly then?

You missed the bit where Brayford played this season and looked as bad as ever then?

Wilder had more than enough time to make a judgement on him, and he let him go. That should tell you all you need to know. He's not what he used to be, and he'll never get back to that level.

No, saw that, and the rest of the team playing very poorly at the start of the season.
I think he may still have a part to play.

We were poor all of last season, yet some players still had good individual performances and spells, and showed some promising signs. Brayford wasn't one of them.

2014 - 10 in 37 for the Blades - not bad
2015 - 10 in 27 for Portsmouth - not bad though division below. (Still not 1 in 2 which you really want)
Was given a squad number at start of 2016. (No 7) which put him in the favoured group.
Had 45 against Grimsby in 2nd half.
Had first half against Stocksbridge PS
Had first half against Murcia, (looked to be the favoured first team squad)
Had first 60 against Derby (started withBilly and sliced great chance wide)
Unsure re against Handsworth Parramore or Halifax.

However, he had a chance to stake his place as they all did with the rotation employed by Wilder. He failed. Not only that, its how you conduct yourself when not in the team that counts.

He was better than Sharp in pre- season to be honest! No one can truly justify he's been given a fair chance this year - however we have to trust in CW's judgement - he's turned it around with his decisions and attitude - UTB's

It has to be said that were it not for his pedigree Sharp would have struggled, except the difference is that Sharp will still work all game. IMHO McNaughty was given a fair chance.I still don't think that CW was looking to start Done as he did, because he intended to use Clarke. However for Done the work rate swung it. It's not McNaughty's natural game to run around like a startled deer. He is more of a lurker.

So that's zero league minutes then. Some chance that was.

And spare me this "how you conduct yourself" crap. If he breaks the rules like Paddy Kenny or Baxter, fine. If he breaks the law, fine. Otherwise, who cares? This club let Ched Evans play whilst he was awaiting trial for rape. After that episode, I don't see what McNulty does off the field, short of criminal behaviour, is of any relevance whatsoever.

just like to say that when the present management team go for players they actually go into the players lifestyle ,attitude on and off the field plus all the usual stuff .

That's fine. But McNulty is already on the books.

What? Like slagging off his manager and his team mates? I think that might just foster some resentment and not assist team harmony. Just an example of off the field behaviour, were it to have taken place, would be of great relevance don't you agree?

I suspect being charged with rape doesn't foster team harmony either. Or failing a drugs test. The club has had no problem with letting players play in such situations.
