we can only bring them back in January. This is standard for season long loans ( so also applies to EEL)

Hope we sell them both. But not to any of our rivals.

Maybe keep McNulty if we need more up front and can't secure deals for any players we're interested in.

It's good that he talks about flexibility regarding potential signings. That means he's got a number of plans and is open minded about where to strengthen.

It's going to be an interesting January if we're up near the top. A situation we've hoped for every season but never got near.

I don't think we are missing Brayford and I thought it was a shrewd move getting him off the wage bill. He is getting game time at Burton, so I'd say sell him if we can but wouldn't expect Burton would want to shell out.

Are we missing McNulty? Hard to tell when he has played so little for us. Not getting regular starts at Bradford either.

I hope Bradford lose every game 4-3 with Mcnulty getting a hat trick in every game. Than we can recall him and get a decent price whilst pissing of Bradford in the process. With Brayford, I couldn't care less providing that the deals a good one

Apart from Wilsons 2 seasons in charge.

Why? McNulty is a more clinical finisher but he doesn't press like Done does. Pressing from the front is key to how CW wants to play.

Couldn't agree more. He's never going to get the goals Sharp does but he has all the other attributes we currently need in this side.
A few games back I even picked him out as a weak(er) link but then I realised he could be the player who pulls their defenders all over, he could pressure them into mistakes, he could give the team a lift and make space for the more creative players.
Basically his attidude and work ethic is immense, add to that the fact that he IS a threat to goal too and he's almost undrpoppable.

McNulty is 5th in line to partner Billy.

Leave him where he is. He's hardly banging goals in for Bradford.

But McNulty isn't a better option than Done. Whether you like it or not, Done's energy has allowed Wilder to implement his style on United. Fat boy doesn't provide the energy required.

If he was at the club he'd currently be first in line. We have no fit strikers save Sharp.

And that situation will be the same come January? The point isn't relevant to the current discussion about bringing them back then.

You don't have a fifth choice striker at the club if you don't have to when his wages that could be paid by someone else.

Well, who knows? Clarke has no return date. A broken jaw is a serious injury. Lavery is still not fit enough to start.

The point is very relevant. McNulty would not be fifth choice now. He'd be in the matchday squad. Wilder has shown he's not afraid to use others who we thought wouldn't get another chance. I don't see why McNulty would be any different from, say, Freeman or Coutts in that regard.

The thread is about whether we should recall them in January. That's 2 months off.

If Lavery isn't fit by then. If Done isn't fit by then. If Clarke isn't fit by then. It's time to consider their long term fitness and whether to keep them at the club.

In my opinion (and of course, this is a messageboard for opinions) McNulty isn't good enough. Minimum effort and good finishing does not make a good player for our style of football.

I would hope Bradford will sign for his dad as the way he didn't turn up against Southend is unforgivable.
All though Wilder said he didn't ask for a move it was written all over his
performance that night ( I want to go home). In my opinion Wilder decided then that it was best Bradford went
having a player on his salary not performing was no good.
I could never forgive him after the no show ( Bradford) rhe right decision was made and we strengthened on the back of it.I can't see him coming back we just have to strike a deal with Burton ( hopefully they will have a good chance of staying up) clawing at bit of cash back in the process.,still feel they will go down in the end though.

Didn't notice my spell checker changed Brayford to Bradford I will have to check that in future.

Based on our recent injury records to strikers he would be pushing for a start! Losing Done for a few weeks maybe costly as it looks like it will change our shape ( unless Lavery gets a starts) we managed to get a win on Saturday but in the same manner of recent games - great spirit in the team at the moment thought which will hopefully pull us through while our strikers recover.

How do you do that.

It's the 'McCuntly Radar24' available from the app store. It alerts Tyler everytime some numpty decides what our unbeaten winning run needs is the introduction of a striker struggling to get a game for our rivals who has seemingly has exactly the opposite work rate and attitude to what a Wilder side requires and, unlike some others, didn't step up to the plate when Wilder arrived and made his mark.

Alternatively if you don't have a Smartphone, you can type the @ symbol immediately followed by the first letters of the username of the poster you want to tag, it will then bring up a list, select that and you're sorted.

Tyler Durden is an easy one as there aren't many that begin Ty.

Have a go ChipButtyBlade

Because Coutts and Freeman are professionals and will knuckle down and not sit on the sidelines whispering behind their hands. Coutts was always capable but had no motivation to work with shit for no reason. Freeman was capable at this level but bombed out for Golden Beard and got pissed off. Both, given a new chance, took it to the extent that Coutts now actually runs when required rather than half heartedly ambles. I would go as far to say he is an integral part of the side.

Mc whatever, didn't take his chance. He never takes his chance because he has not yet got it into that thick skull that turning up isn't taking his chance. He has been described on here (and by me) as the most natural goal scorer the club has got. (Note NOT striker). But to score the goals you have to get in position and to get in position you have to work and if you don't work, your team mates have to work harder to get you in position. He's not been a regular starter for any team in England and there has to be a reason apart from that nobody likes a cocky twat.

I'd rather have Done doing the headless chicken act upsetting their back four and keeper rather than Mc thingy doing his side to side, look at me moving them centre halves about act.
