It's a grumble

The programs for the 1982-1983 season really were shocking value for money.

Weren't the programmes from 82-88 pretty much the same?

All published by Mayfair Press?

Loads of other teams had same publisher and exact same 'columns' and similar formats.

Wasn't until 88/89 our programmes were published by a local firm and started being decent.

The 80/81 programmes in particular were notorious about this. About half of progamme was taken up with non-Blades and even non-football stuff. Remember Ossie Ardiles Talks Football (well, his ghostwriter did) and an article about Fame?

Well let's just hope the uk went on to fuck the fucking dirty argies up

Yes I'd forgotten about that. They used to have an insert with articles about music etc. You'd go to an away match, get a programme and you'd have read half of it two home games ago.

I have some newspaper type programmes from away games, also I used to get the pink un when we played Lancashire clubs, great days.

My grumble for the day: I don't know how many people paid attention to Sinclair plugging John Reilly's latest abomination, but I'm amazed that his new song "Women of Steel" managed to induce even more cringing than his asinine lyrical farts of "We Love This City".
