Firstly, there's every chance that the budgets were stretched. This is why I'm so pissed off with the short sighted people who see "McCabe is worth £60m.", and then think he can just amble down to the local NatWest and withdraw it to add to the Club's funds. It's all tied up in investments, etc.

Nonsense the banks love to lend money.

Given that within the last ten years, we nearly dropped to the third tier of English football, being watched by crowds of less than 10,000, and a very uninterested board, I actually think we're doing ok. Just not on the field.

The field is where it counts for most Blades.

Secondly, as far as attracting players is concerned, we were a very small fish in a bloody big pond. Oddly enough, I doubt that Ronaldo would have thought, "Ooh, I'll go to Bramall Lane.".

So we settle for Neighsmith & Co, the money would have been better left in the post office.

Thirdly, what precisely do you expect King Kev I to do? He's not going to gamble all of the family silver to keep the dream alive, is he? Would you? If you've only got £100 to last a week, are you going to put the lot on the first favourite at Cheltenham? Of course not.

Fourthly, the clause in Jagielka's contract, while cruel to us, was probably there for some time beforehand, and put there by his agent. Now while I'm sure we all agree that agents are lower than a snake's cock, you can't blame the lad for safeguarding his interests.

Fifthly, the club is growing, albeit slowly, but it did take years to get back to the top flight after the last disaster. The days of having a rich benefactor (unless you're an oligarch) are long, long gone. Money, (which still seems to be the same as ambition to you) doesn't last forever at this level, and needs to be earned. That's why the club is growing, and starting to make an operational profit after donkey's years of debt.

This season has been a disaster, but it's not the first and won't be the last.

This club has ambition both on and off the field. I'll be getting a new manager at my place of work in the next few weeks, but I don't expect her to turn things around overnight, she has to be given time to implement new ideas.

Please Explain to me where the Ambition in Appointing the cluless one Bryan Robson & where is the Ambition with our First Team Squad ?? we have one of the Worst Midfields in the League at Present.

Our Midfield has been shocking for Years & what stinks most of all is the only 2 Quality Flair players that we did have at BDTBL in IFILL & CKR is that they were sold for Peanuts and were replaced by Utter Garbage.

Where have you both heard this mythical statement? are you both actually Wednesday fans? it's a Wednesday quote. The closest thing McCabe has said to that is that it his long term aim to make the blades a european force.

As for the Bladesmad comment... The man himself stated he's more determined than ever to take this club forward... Last time I checked too... he was merely looking for INVESTMENT, not a takeover.

How lazy is a player that in most games i've seen him play is prepared to and does run back 50-60 yards to make a defensive challenge (especially the one against Middlesborough) and works off the ball to try and create space for other to pass/run into?

If Beattie is lazy then most forwards in the Prem are either comatose or dead!

I don't think Mr McCabe is gonna lose a nights sleep cos of you calling him a wobble gob.
He's the best Chairman we've had in many a year and made the club a stable one without the worry financial problems and having to sell players to keep afloat.
He's done a fantastic job in my opinion.
If anyone is to blame for the team's league position it's the team.
