Didn't Clough have him lined up before he was sacked?

He's ok

He appears to be the most overrated footballer with our fans because he's a Blade.

His brother's a dick, is there not a large chance he is as well? His brother who drunkenly punched a girl in the face?

Another monumental fuck up

I bear the guy no malice , and good luck with your career at your new club .
Well done Tuffty for not bending over and saying spit will do me ya bastard , now go balls deep .
Our manager has said things we've all wanted to hear , that our club is no longer the push over it once was ,
Players won't dictate , what they want us to pay them , players that have just been coasting have been shown the door , and most have agreed it was the right thing to do , No it was the right thing to do .
Thank fuck it didn't turn into another burn fiasco , wasting a season wondering and waiting .
Like I said good luck for the future , but this club is on the way up ( hopefully ) , we only want players who want to play for us , and we'll support our players with the same loyalty , that they show us .
Up the fucking blades .

Why on earth is it "the Board".

The manager has a budget to work to along with the Technical Committe.

Why is it "the Board". Do you think the prince and McCabe are involved at a level which settled somewhere between £200k and £500k? Get real. It's a football decision and the manager is mindful of working to a budget. It's him who stated that we are not going to pay over the odds just because we are SUFC.
Good post Kyle would be a
Agreed Woody Wilder has said the club won't be held to ransome while he's here , if we have put a bid in which we as a club think is value for money and this is not accepted we don't up it ,Wow we have got a manager that says enough is enough and refuses to increase it.
Macfadzean had a problem ,MKD Sticking to over valuing Kyle and he burning his boats at MKDS. Clough comes in and offers him a way out and takes it.
They probably have got him at a knock down price as MK as well as Kyle needed a conclusion quickly ( Kyle missing pre-season training ) ..
I think Kyle had got the message (we were not going to be held to ransome) and took the opportunity to play in championship next season with Burton
goddknows how Burton will pay the wages which he and one or two others will be on if they come straight back to divi 1 ( gates of 3,500 ).
Not ITK so I may have got it wrong but it's pleasing we stuck to our guns and look elsewhere for a centre back.
Not far off mate but full credit to Kyle aswell because he would have been taking a pay drop
I bet a tug by ya misses he isn't announced a Burton player tomorrow
I hope you got that tug of your Mrs Pinchy ! ;)

Have to say that I'm not disappointed.

I respect Wilder's judgment especially given the players brought to the club already.

However the peak of Kyle's career to date has been playing regularly in a team that easily got relegated from the league above.

At 29 he's at an age to be at the peak of his powers meaning he's unlikely to improve and any resale vale will reduce.

500k is not a lot if it guarantees you promotion but I can't say that signing Kyle does that.

With no disrespect to him, it might be a bullet dodged. If we come out with a 25 year old like Kevin Long, who is on more of an upward trajectory then this to me represents better value.

Priceless that ultimately it's Clough that's swept in to clinch this deal, given his inability to sort that position out with us has ultimately had such long term repercussions. I wonder if, like Sammon, this deal had been presented to Adkins when he arrived – only Adkins said no because he'd already pinned his hopes on Dan Burn?

We clearly need one more right-sided option to be first choice. Hopefully we've got clear targets in mind.

I think most people thought he was nailed on to come to the Lane, however after a deal with the Blades could not be agreed, his choices were limited. He had made it impossible for himself to be brought back into the fold at MK, after virtually going on strike. Unless other clubs were interested, he had no choice but to go to Burton, apart from sitting in the reserves at MK.

With respect, I really don't get your opinion of "CAN'T BE MUCH OF A BLADE, IF HE CAN BEAR TO PLAY UNDER THAT CUNT". He probably had no realistic other alternative, but to sign for Burton, after burning his bridges at MK. Being a Blade or not does not come into the equation when signing for them. He's a professional footballer first and foremost.

I also cant understand anyone slagging off Clough for signing him. We sacked Clough and as Burton manager he can sign whoever he chooses. He attempted to sign McFadzean when he was our manager, so clearly rates him.
Its ridiculous of anyone to slag of Cloughie for signing him, or Kyle for signing for him.
Good luck kyle;)

Or maybe the board wouldn't meet MKD's asking price because 'we've got Neill Collins' and that's when the toys came out of the pram?
I think Clough had quite a long list of players he wanted to add and the board was surprised, thinking that they'd already spent enough to get us out of the league. That's what I heard anyway.

Let's not forget McFadzean could easily have turned this down if this really was the move he wanted, i have a sneaking suspicion we might go going opposite directions next year and he'll want to come aboard again, I suspect we won't need him.

Kevin Long must have been pretty good cos the dingles want him again in the championship. Go and get that deal done Tufty, I'm with you playing hardball here and we missed out - it's not the end of the world but we need to get some proven quality in that position of we want promotion.

Aren't QPR in for Pierre?

What about Killa or has this been quashed?

I’d not heard about that but they could be for all I know. I think rather than Killa, we could do with a right footed, physical centre half who attacks that first ball. Someone like Maguire or Morgan before him would be perfect.

If a player doesn't want to come that's fine also the players we are getting are not big names. Barnsley had no big names and see where it got them so it looks like CW is building a team not just a big name

But for every Barnsley there are 10 like Oldham, Shrewsbury, Crewe, Colchester, Fleetwood, Blackpool etc. who also had no big names.

It’s not a big name I’m concerned about per se but someone who has shown that they can improve our team and be an asset for us. I believe that Duffy, Fleck and O Connell fit that mould. Possibly Hussey too though I knew nothing of him before so just going on other people’s views there. But Wilson and Wright don’t convince me and I’m a bit concerned that nobody bar those bottom few clubs seemed to want them. I’m OK with them being cover but I’d like one more centre half of proven quality for this level to be first choice alongside O Connell who strikes me as a good signing as he has proven himself capable at this level and has time on his side to improve.

Said it before, dont see the obsession with this guy. Never seen him have a good game. He was slow, clumsy and error prone in games I saw.

He has just been part of a side that has been relegated. He is 29 and not going to improve. If it wasn't for all the Blades connections/tweets; don't think anyone would bat an eyelid.

Glad we have not signed him. Still need another centre back to partner O'Connell. Not sure the other lads Wilson or Wright were signed to be starters.

Kind of agree. Slow, clumsy and 29.

BUT he’s also good in the air, strong, aggressive and has recent experience of automatic promotion from this league. He was also part of a very wily and cynical MK Dons team. Some of our players can be a bit naïve and a bit too nice. He would give us a bit of a nasty edge.

He’s no Maguire but we could have done a lot worse. Still, we move on.

wilder gave an ultimatum , he didnt make it
ended up at Burton poor bastard

ruthless bit of management , fully applauded
dont mess us around or we go elsewhere
bye kyle

no Dan Burn shit with the wild one

Strongly suspect it wasn’t a case of Kyle messing us about but MK Dons not wanting to sell to a divisional rival as stated.

I've heard the same this afternoon.

I'm new to this ITK business, do I need to put 'FACT' at the end?:eek::eek:

Sauce was Peppercorn with a nice bottle of Malbec. o_O

Impeccable sauce.

I thought Morgan played lhs and Killa rhs but I must be getting confused.

Although Morgan told a story of his first training session with us when Warnock told him to play left CB alongside page and "use that trusty left foot of yours" to which Morgs replied "But I'm right footed gaffer" prompting a response from Warnock of "oh shit I've signed the wrong one"

Over 200 posts because we haven't signed a bang average CB.

Thank fuck the internet didn't exist when we got Sabella instead of Maradonna.

True. The fact that hardly anyone had heard of Maradonna wouldnt have stopped some moaning like ****.

Looks like he is in trouble

He'll miss the matches, but he is exactly the defender we needed. Sadly Mk wouldn't play ball. Ethan Ebanks-Landell looks quality though to be fair and at 23 will only improve. Wilder seems to cerainly know his players, in my view. A few doubted EEL, but so far he'd the commanding centre half we needed.
