As regards Basham 2 years on and I've still no idea what his role is, the bit where he ran through and turned back yesterday should have seen him sacked for dereliction of duty the fucking Fanny. If wilder is as straight talking As he says you'd hope he has got him dropped on Tuesday .

I dont get the love in by some fans for Basham. A player who usually offers no attacking threat and is suspect defensively also. Hes also not got a great engine either or is owt with the ball. In short i think he is a poor all round player but because he has a good attitude and looks the part physically he seems to fool people (even CW quoted at the start of the season that he would be part of his backbone mainstay players). I think he has fooled a lot of people and if you take him out of the side he is not missed at all. Another Clough masterstroke.

He should be cover thats all (tbf he can be very average in a number of positions on the pitch) and then let go when his contract is up.
