With the rumour mill in overdrive as to what the board are planning to do, do you reckon they'll bite the bullet and pay Robson off?

Or do you think the manager has had enough and will walk?

In eyes of the pay-out and because it can surely only be a matter of time, I think he'll wait to get sacked.

come on linz, dont loose your intelligence now.

As if he's going to walk when he knows that he will be due a very very substantial payoff

Was just punting it as a possibility.

For some people, the self-respect of saying "enough's enough" might outweigh the embarrassment of being sacked and receiving the money. Are there any such people in football though?

He won't be walking, as MAQ says, he might be a crap manager, but he is due a pay off.

Stuart Pearce?

I think it will be a mutual agreement, as either McCabe nor Robson will want to admit they got it wrong

All sackings these days are "mutual agreements".

Mr Mccabe has already said, if he's made a mistake then he'll hold his hands up, say he got it wrong and take the steps to put it right.

I don't think he'll be leaving at this point!
Until recently I'd agree SEB. I just think that now McCabe has to also think about Robson's long-term reputation being damaged and for that reason I'd expect Robson to "mutually agree to being sacked" if you know what I mean. I don't think McCabe will allow a former England captain, ambassador for the beautiful game, well-respected, middle-aged man to be subjected to further personal abuse on such a big scale - especially with a game about to be televised on the BBC.
