Well if it's Birmingham that suggests we won't be getting the top money we might've done with the 'top agent' and possible PL interest. But to be honest I just want him out of the door ASAP, if that means getting 500k less than we could at the end of August so be it. The time is more important to us, and in L1 whatever fee we get should be enough to fund the signings we need.

Now for the $64k question

How much will CW get of any remaining transfer fee, or has he already spent it?

( is that two $64k questions?)

It's a shame if Adams is going as he does have loads of potential. That being said, we are a selling club are we not ? We don't have time to fully develop players for our own benefit so this is really no surprise is it. The only really disappointing thing about this is if it's Birmingham. No disrespect to them but is it really that much of a step up. A few players have gone there from here and never really progressed so is it a good move for him ? If he goes there then good luck to him, he may need it.

Just for you, Linz

Look at the transfers, every club is a selling club nowadays. Money drives football now. That's a fact I'm afraid. And the lower you go in the divisions the more vulnerable you are.

There's no more interest cuz he ain't our player anymore.

Ah, the last minute sale just before the season starts, with no time to bring in our own targets.

Comes around every year like Christmas.

If it's less than 5 million we've been fleeced.

I worry that even if che goes for 2m- the asking price for the final few players we need will shoot up with 1 day left before the season starts.
That's if teams are willing to lose influential players this close to the start of the season at all. Ha, what idiots would do that.
If Wilder brings in his three main targets off the back of this il be chuffed, Im just a glass half empty kindda guy right now.

I am pretty sure the deals are already in place, mate. I wouldn't worry too much about that. We've seen enough of Tufty to know he ain't daft...

I prefer to envision you, Foxy and Foxy Snr. making up any old shite and kicking back to watch whilst the puppets dance...

The site moderators have covered that by asking for sources to be identified, which didn't happen in this case. As Mike Gatting once famously said in the Shakoor Rana case, "one rule for one...." :-)

Course he's going , every single summer we bring in more in fees than we spend, why would this year be any different ?

I agree that most if not all lower league clubs are vulnerable to losing better players but it still has to be at a price that suits us and not just the buying party.

Have we got the "he was shit anyway" posts ready and waiting you McCabe apologists? Whilst I don't think we would miss Che much now we have Clarke it still is selling one of our better prospects. A word of warning how much of the fee would go back into the playing squad? Anyone like to guess seeing as we never replaced McDonald, Blackman, Maguire, Murphy etc etc

Not if the player wants to leave as well. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and take a decent offer to get rid.

One is employed by the club. The other is a paramour.

I hate to spoil it for everyone but when Adams is sold, the money won't be made available to Wilder.

. The other is a paramour.

Who is the secret married lover then ,Linz...is Che having it away with a married woman (or Man) or is your club contact playing away from home with a married person ?
