Generally, unless it's due to extenuating circumstances or it being a tiny allocation, anyone who attends a few away games a season will get a ticket for games such as Saturday if they don't leave it to the last minute. It's the sense of entitlement from people who are just too lazy to go down any earlier, then just call for the loyalty point system to be abolished because it's clearly anyone's fault but theirs.

5000 loyalty points for last week's sales for Bolton is 2 years of having a season ticket, and if figures are correct we've had 12,000 ST holders at least the last few seasons. why should anyone with less than that expect to jump these 12,000 people to get one of 3,700 away tickets, then throw the toys out the pram 'cos they haven't got one? Seems bizarre to me.
The loyalty point system has been going for 10 years, so that's about 5 games a season for 10 years roughly to qualify.

Are they counted in the attendance figures if they are season ticket holders?

I bought a ST for BDTBL.
Why do I have to buy a ticket for BWFC.
Surely I can use my ST there and sit in the same seat number and on the same row?
I think this ticket selling is a right con.

Will I be able to use my SUFC ST on Saturday at BWFC?

Nice to see after failing to land the manager/board liason job, chief scout and director of football roles, player contract negotiations guru and managing director position you've set you sights lower by considering the ticket office supremo job.

I'd still suggest starting lower down the pyramid with the caterers, you could be the one who passes the pint from the pump to the counter on match days, working your way up in a couple of years to be the one who actually pushes the button to dispense said beer.

It wouldn't interfere with your "everything about this club is shit"obsession either.

Oh dear. More classic sniping from you. I guess that means you can't actually argue with what I've said then.

As for your last line, you've obviously not been reading my posts recently. I've barely been criticising anything.

No point in arguing. It's already been said. Maybe people could actually look for themselves? Left field I know but the info is there.

Good for you. Have you been away?

We were told via the first person in the queue that had come back out to say they had all gone, at 9am.

Maybe it is just me, but most in the queue thought that the tickets were available in person only! This, i think, was due to the fact that the 250 (i think) extra we received on Monday were sold in person only, and club tweeted to say these would not be sold online due to the small number of tickets. They immediately then tweeted that an extra 300 will be available on Wednesday morning on a 'first come, first served basis'.

This, I feel, is where the confusion was. It wasn't just me, as I always buy online and yes, its straight forward. However, on this occasion, me along side 100's of others thought these extra tickets would be sold in person only due to ambiguous info from the club, that, clearly, lots of people misinterpreted. Thats why people were miffed, as there was a feeling of being robbed.

If the info before hand was more clear, and i tried to buy online and failed, I'd have absolutely no issue.

So to sum all of this up.

They put on the website that they would be available online.

They put on twitter that they would be online, so that's at least 110,000 people they told about it.

They sold out somewhere between 9:00am and 9:02am

They informed they queue at around 9:05am that they had sold out.

On this occasion, the club is not guilty.

So in short, the club promised 300 tickets in person only, then sold them online leaving 100's queueing for hours?

If that's what happened that's absolutely pathetic by the club.

Whatever you say about people being daft not to just do it online, the club surely knew many would be turning up at the ticket office to queue, it's what always happens. A proportion of the tickets should only have been available in person.

If the club had bothered to update everybody when 1000 or 500 tickets were left for example instead of just 100, we wouldn't have seen anything like this mad rush. They've even got a Twitter account FFS. Might I suggest they use it for such things.
How would the club know how many would turn up? SUFC_tweets always updates when tickets are about to sell out as hey did when the initial allocation was close to selling out.

How can it be a 'mad rush' when tickets have been on sale for about three weeks and nearly over 3k has been sold by the end of last week ?

Proportion of tickets in person only ? Why? For me we should sell them all on-line.

What happened then?
The club received 1 set of tickets, small amount and said in person only.

The club received a second set of tickets, bigger amount, the club said usual channels of sale.

The club have just this moment received another set of tickets, the club have said usual channels of sale.

I predict tomorrow, the online servers will go down, the only fans able to buy the tickets will be in person .....

and a complete roll reversal on here ...... :)

and I bet there is someone from the ticket office there at 6am ..................

I'd never have noticed if there were not about three other threads running concurrently about Bolton tickets.
