So, as we can't out bid Premiership teams and can't afford the benchwarmers, who would you bring in to strengthen the team?

So if my manager doesn't motivate me every morning I don't have to bother??
I still do a good days work no matter what any manager says or does. If you don't that's your choice.
Not saying he should be here but if you think it's just his fault I don't agree.
It's not a completely transferable analogy. The world of a footballer is magnified to such a degree it's totally distorted. We see the product of a week's work for 90 minutes (180 if there's a midweek match) per week. How that work, with the whole squad, is borne out in the public displays is entirely down to the squad selection and tactics employed by the manager.
It would seem to me that the Robson apologists are far more dismissive of the people who are pissed off with the current regime than the other way round. That's fine by me; I couldn't care less what anyone thought of me, particularly people I don't even know.

To be fair, I don't think there are too many "Sornob apologists", as much as people who are just trying to take a step back, and not fly in swingeing.
so your happy to sit down and cheer on something awful and not want anything to change. yeah come on lads, youve just neshed that challenge and lost your marker, but hey ill clap you so your feelings dont get hurt.
its a 2 way thing, the crowd has got behind the team numerous occasions but nothing from mr motivate on the touchline and nothing from the players. it takes 2 to tango. and i dont recall and one shouting you pussy at a player being elbowed in the face, i must be going tone deaf and blind as usually what happens is we shout at the opposition for doing a dirty challenge.
Far too sensible post!

i get motivated every morning, and talked through what we are going to do that day and in what order, everyone knows what to be done and it gets done.
No i'm not and I don't. I just don't happen to think a torrent of abuse every time someone makes a mistake is particularly supportive or constructive. Neither do I think chanting an opposition managers name, booing or shouting for someone to be sacked helps our cause in the slightest.
Foxy said:I get just as frustrated with mistakes/bad play than anyone, i'd just rather try and lift the said player/team by getting behind them rather than calling them every name under the sun and deciding they'll be shit forever more. This doesn't mean I sit blindly clapping them as I said, it means getting behind them, singing songs (not that they have the touch of a rapist or they should be sacked), praising them when they've done well.
If that makes me an idiot, apologies, i've done it all my blades supporting life and will continue to do it. If that means in some peoples eyes i'm not a fan who wants the best for the team, thats their opinion... in my experience i'll be around far more often than they are, taking pleasure from watching and supporting the blades.
Foxy said:A number of the crowd have been far from supportive all season, I can understand why, but I fail to see how the crowd as a whole can get on their high horse and claim they've done their part all season.
Foxy said:You wouldnt recall that incident or others I hear, because you don't sit in the same places as me very often, that comment specifically was aimed at Bromby whilst he was laid on the floor bleeding on Saturday.
Foxy said:Followed by "you fucking clueless muppet Robson why are you bringing Stead back and leaving nobody up front again, you fucking drunk"... whilst the defence were signalling for Hulse to come and help defend as we'd lost Bromby for the set piece.
That is small fry compared to the level of abuse i've heard plenty of people spewing out all season, a lot of the time within earshot of players.
I've no problem with people voicing their opinions, no matter how much I disagree with them, I just personally feel there are far more constructive ways of showing the passion you have for the blades.
"So what happens when it doesn't??"
99/100 it gets done, if it dosent we have to work harder then next day and stay behind if needs be.
If it got so bad, i would be docked wages or be replaced
hes been saying about there not his players there warnocks and the build up to the game he said its just another match. hes not realised, 7 or so months in that some players arnt good enough.
.... whilst I don't agree with a manager coming out and slating his players ....
keenzy said:why not say it to there faces they need more instead of saying it to the press
because all he is doing is trying to divert the blame away from himself, and onto the players. Probably because he knows that he is the least favourite person at BDTBL at the moment.
I just feel though that if we sack Robson and the new man who comes in does a similar job then do we sack him and so on...
