Of the players transfer listed by CW ,which one if any has any chance of impressing and getting a place in the side and maybe another chance ?
Im saying James Wallace and maybe Coutts ,cant see beyond that unless Freeman really knuckles down.

Christ I though we had fucked J Wallace off, I can only see K Wallace getting another chance if he wants to be a professional the rest don't have the fitness apart from Freeman and he is shite.

All joking aside (for a moment) but it does depend on where they're at from a fitness perspective.

I'm guessing that the transfer listed few are transfer listed because of injuries and ability to last a season, rather than just:
a) because they're twats
b) because they don't fit in with Wilde'rs style

I'd like to think that James and Kieran Wallace could both take themselves off the list if they can impress in preseason. Perhaps it was partly as a kick up the backside for them. The problem is that they need to get fit after injuries, so its not easy for them to either get a move or work their way into the side...

Who else was on the list?

I think Freeman and K. Wallace are the two that have the best chance as they are young and not without potential.

Coutts and Woolford are unlikely to improve and J. Wallace seems to be broken beyond repair which is a real shame.
Freemans not in the equation

I'm J Wallace can get a full pre season behind him etc etc etc. We've heard it all before but surely at some point he's going to be fit for a sustained period? If he's fit and under contract then he'll be in the squad for sure.

James Wallace has been here over 2 years now and i think ive covered more yards than he has by going to the bogs for a half time draining of the lizard. He really is in last chance saloon now re his future at the Lane. Ive no doubt if clough the daft chuff hadnt given him such a daft 3 year deal he would have been released along with all the other deadbeats after last season. Potentially hes got a great chance to be a star for us...realistically i think hes been out for too long and he isnt the same player he was. Coutts for me is the annoying one. He has ability...hes just an unbelievably lazy sod. I saw him at times last season strolling back when we needes bodies back and his performance at Southend was horrific. I now have little time for the lad. I can forgive lack of ability but not lack of effort.

If J Wallace stays fit this season, CW will be a 'lucky' manager. Something we've not had for a while. Recently, if it could go wrong, it usually does. Wilder might be one of those 'right time, right place' managers where what he does tends to work. Obviously, that's judgement too but some managers are definitely luckier than others (don't quote Gary Player or the others who are also credited for the quote). CW may be the one who benefits from our up and coming youth players over the next couple of seasons, just as Warnie benefitted from Jags etc.

In order: 1. K.Wallace 2. Freeman 3. Woolford 4. Coutts. 5. J.Wallace.

Having said that, if by any chance J. Wallace should suddenly regain his physical fitness and also his match fitness ( which would take months) I suggest he would be the first name on the team sheet.

After we've settled Coutts' contract he'll probably join Clough although MaidMarion on here says Simon told her/him? that they were disappointed with Coutts' fitness levels.

Warnie? ;)

If James Wallace is actually fit (ha!) I would stick him in the team and see what he can do. What do we have to lose? Worst case scenario is he's done after 20 mins as usual. Best case is he's actually the good player we always hoped he could be.
Play him every friendly fuck it!

I think everyone will get a run out at Stocksbridge except Woolford.

I for one watched J Wallace for the 21s last season and if he is fit he is the best midfielder we have. Yes it was 21s and yes he needs to get fit but he really was excellent.

It's only an opinion mind.

I am looking forward to seeing Duffy, Hussey, Semple and Wilson.

James Wallace will be here no matter what. Given a SUFC contract bloated beyond belief, and a fitness record that Steven Hawking wouldn't swap, he's going nowhere.

UTB

I don't know what happened with Freeman last season..it must just be me who thought he was one of our better performers early season, especially coming forward,he was one of our main attacking outlets..He was dropped to make way for Brayford, who got more protection and didn't venture forward as often..if he shows the right attitude and fitness levels he's worth another chance,he does have ability.
I'd give Kieran Wallace another chance,he was unlucky with injury, but showed a good attitude..James Wallace and Coutts have ability,it's just a question of fitness, mobility and attitude..Depends who we bring in ofcourse, but we can't go into the season with Bash,Whiteman and Reed as our main options in the centre of the park.
