Chris Wilder is the 20th manager I've known at Bramall Lane since I started supporting the Blades in 1980. How many assistant managers have there been in that time?

And I don't know the answer, I was asking :)

Not knocking the thread by any means but I can't see how this interests people.

Who cares?

Owen ?

And then I remembered this appointment was part of the masterclass in fuckwittery we got from David Weir.

From Danny Bergara/Martin Peters to Alan Knill.

What happened to 'Bibbily Bobbily Bo'?

IIRC we used to sing a song about him. Given that 'Division Two' is the old Fourth Division, it seems strangely appropriate somehow.

The list has Taylor and Downes as assistant under Bassett at the same time. Not sure what the structure was there?

It's Bippity Boppity Boo (or Bibbidi Bobbidi, Disney appear unsure) from Cinderella and is currently being used in an advert.

The 'original' was updated to Brian Deane and Tony Agana, which is the version I sing when the advert comes on.

Well the People's Front for the Liberation of Judea (Shoreham faction), always sang 'Bibbily Bobbily Bo' (or something similar).

Probably because they were all pissed.

Some people think it's a gallon of maggots.

I'd guess we all got the words wrong with at least one song in the days before the Internet. I remember as a kid having no idea what the second line of No Pig Fans in Town was. I asked my mate, who'd be going since he was about five year old and he admitted he had no idea either.

Steve Thompson wasn't Spackman's assistant. I think it was Willie Donachie.... who left before Nigel and the team seemed to fall apart as a result.
