It's all about how we look , our identity . The new kit falls nicely with the new era under Wilder . We have had too many seasons of false hope , this season does smell of success . Fuck me we have to be positive , not the deluded Adkins way , but in the right way . That new kit is a starter for ten .

That shirt was utter bobbar. It had that crappy lace-up collar and two shirts were never the same as the alignment of the stripes was all over the place.

Good to be back to R+W stripes but we knew that anyway, overall its quite drab though imo.

I always prefer 4 stripes to the 3, the latter makes it look cheap and in turn makes the stripes obviously fatter. But at least the back is still striped.

And why black socks?? The shorts are black so having the socks the same means the bottom half of the kit is all one colour which makes it boring and a lack of contrast. This club's colours is red and white, and more often than not we don't have enough white on the kit bar last season's shirt as that is a one off.

We should always stick with black shorts and white socks or vice versa as a baseline, looks far better! Plus it makes us unique as no other club that plays in R+W stripes ever uses the black shorts/white socks combination.

Maybe it's me but I don't like the black shoulders, the solid sleeves and sides. Don't mind the black shorts and socks though. Still, little BB's birthday present sorted for September and the away kit for Christmas as per usual

Having said that, I've supported United in red, white, yellow, purple, green, jade(!!??), black and white and blue so while a shirt may not be immediately associated with SUFC, if it has those crossed blades and the white rose on the badge (or the Sheffield crest), I'll support whoever is wearing it whatever colour it is!

Why does the red on the sufcdirect pictures look so dark?.

Because it was photographed indoors I should think, it'll be much brighter in the sun in the hopeful matches of August - much darker in the bleak sodden midwinter slump - then, with a bit of luck, much brighter when we have shrugged that off and we are treating our last few games as laps of honour because we were promoted in early April.
