It wouldn't surprise me. They still have most of the Washington money and the chairman probably feels a bit guilty about selling him mid season. They've also been poor at the back for years so might be feeling the urge to invest in defenders.

I hope it's right as well, because paying an unproven player that sort of money could upset the apple cart a bit. Especially if he doesn't perform, and with Peterborough defenders that's always likely.

We are suffering from previous transfer dealings regarding agents,we need ch desperately they all know it.We need to find at least 2 that want to be here rather than for the money.Patience is going to be needed for the best players unless they just fancy it here

You can rest assured that come August the manager, the board, the owners or even all three will be getting shite because they didn't sign this lad and we signed some other fella who is apparently crap.

I have no idea if he's any good or not, from the clips I've seen he is a handful in the attacking third at set pieces, no clue if he can defend never seen him play. He has all the physical attributes for what we are looking for, but for all I know might need a whole lot of work on actual defending..such as reading the game, positioning, tackling and organisation. Hence why we wouldn't pay it. But so did McGahey, and he was lauded by his Blackpool manager and fans as an up and coming premier league player.

If Wilder didn't think (or the technical board) he was worth that kind of salary then we let Posh take the risk. What this will show is whether our Technical board really does know what it's doing, and if Wilder does know his lower league players.

One thing I will guarantee....This twat will score against us this season. That's football.

But here's the tricky bit.....what's the fee?

They might have had to pay 500k and above, plus salary to sign a similar player on a contract elsewhere. This lad was free, so therefore they could offer him a chunk of the money they saved on a transfer fee. Something we have been doing for years.

However, we need a shed load of players....therefore paying half that will allow us to get more players in from whatever budget we have set to overhaul the squad.
Sadly, we have been outbid by Posh....as it seems have a couple of Championship clubs. I say sadly because it's hard to comprehend we cannot compete with them but those are the circumstances we are in.

I just hope it doesn't bite us on the Arse, but with us you can see this lad going to the premier league for 8m and us looking rather silly.
