Was talking about this yesterday, a few years ago if there was a ruck on the pitch we'd have loads of players who would join or had players that didn't shirk away from a challenge, especially in the Bassett era. Last couple of years we've had a team of Fannies that look like they couldn't punch their way out of a paper bag.

Think our recruitment drive needs to include these types of hard bastards that won't take no prisoners.

first player to target and I have no idea of his age, name or anything but he stood out to me. Number 15 for Scunthorpe. He was a little shit

Edit - Stephen Dawson

A bit too old now, but Leon Clarke always liked to mix it, him and Billy were having fun and games last time he was at the lane

You'd think that being professional footballers they would be tough enough. I don't really care how "hard" they appear to be, I just want good players who want to get us promoted rather than waiting for their next pay cheque.

Next thing you will be asking for a manager who loses his gum ranting at the ref or his glasses celebrating promotion

Let's just stick to half arsed passion less mercenary eh

Some people prefer it

Exactly don't really give a shit whether they are a dirty bastard or not. Especially with how shite refs are these days where a gust of wind results in a penalty anyway. So I think the Chris Morgan sort of players are fading out because they get suspended too often.

A player that has some pride in themselves and the club would be a start, not some individual just happy to pick up the daft wage we give them.

WE definitely need this or we'll get bullied, would that dick from Bradford have completed his wrestling move on Scougs if he knew the next time he received the ball Morgan was going to leave him limping for the rest of the game?
Have said this a dozen times over the last 2 years we need a hardman and an on field captain.

I don't want to see see dirty players but I do want some intimidation. When our players are fouled I want to see the rest of the team looking after them. We've not had that kind of team spirit in years.
