Nice guy who tried to open up the club's hierachy to the fans. Always a risky move if results don't turn out as planned, and social media is a hornet's nest at the best of times.

We move on, but who knows, in a parallel dimension Jim was probably carried round the pitch on Hammond's shoulders on Sunday, celebrating promotion to a packed out lane. Followed by the rest of the team giving that lovely little bald head of his a congratulatory rub.

There was a statement last week from Jim saying he would be making a statement on Sunday. I presumed at the game. The game itself and the atmosphere at the end probably prevented him from doing this. I suppose there'll be those at the club who'll blame the fans.
