Yes, Ryan has played age group football for Wales. But Classof85 has started the hares. The implication was that a youngster had been asked to train with his FULL International colleagues. I can't believe that was Ryan.

The last FIFA International Break was mid November. The next International Break is end March. It would be very, very unusual for International Teams to call FULL International players together outside of those windows. Which makes the claim intriguing.

It’s a nice sound bite but yes you can have a pretty good idea from seeing them around the first team.
If they’re genuinely at that level you’ll be able to see it, I suspect some of our number are expecting them to simply step up to the highest level and swim. Every fan of our club would love us to have ready made replacement just aching to step up and perform at this level as would the manager and coaching staff but there’s a reason they’ve not been thrown in. There’s also a reason we use the loan system and looking at RND progression we’ve got a decent process in place. Of course relegation would mean some may be able to get more games for us rather be the case next season which is great but I don’t think there’s a vast number ready to go.

Like i said if your face fits, theres very good players there that are being treated terribly. 1 player has been invited to go train with his nations1st team only to be told that when he comes back there is no place for him. All because he is going to train with full internationals. Now im sure we should be encouraging that in young players????

Its funny how we see so many other clubs blooding 16 and 17 year olds at this point of the season year after year (who have never been on loan and been previously only with youth team) but when it comes to Sheffield United our own fans are like nah our youth are shite don't let them have a go!!

These players are a year away. If these players were good enough they would be in. Jack doesn't manage the u23s he is the Academy Director and when he was at Forest lots of his players went into the first team. Can you seriously believe that Wilder gets to choose only the players that Lester decides he likes (of a team Lester doesn't manage).

Interesting to hear but I think you have to judge Lester on the performance of the u23’s and they are flying....just need to start seeing a couple breaking into the first team

Don't agree, you introduce young players into games gradually when things are going well.
Throwing them in against Liverpool to get absolutely mullered will do nothing to help their development
