Not just a relegation-focused video. A good look at some other underlying numbers

I don’t post the Blades Ramble stuff here as I assume people are already aware, and if they like it, they don’t need my reminders... a bit like Sheff United Way content. But anyway. This once…

Why...? Clickbait.

Why...? Clickbait.
Not sure what you mean. These channels seem a bit Blades mainstream, so don’t need me to promote them in a forum thread. Definitely not clickbait though, as personally I don’t like Jimmy’s channel and am very sceptical of his approach

No I just meant his video looks like the usual clickbait.

So why are you recommending this one in particular?

Polite questions.

Must admit this one is an informative vid that outlines the specific recall clauses for all 3 loanees.

Rak-Sakyi: Loan can be terminated by either Palace or us in first week of Jan.

Gilchrist: Loan can be terminated by only Chelsea in first week of Jan.

Souttar: Loan cannot be terminated by either party as long as plays in over 50% of eligible matches.

It's not exactly clickbait....that's something different.
Clickbait is quite a common technique to encourage visits to their page.
it's when an headline grabs your attention promising something making you really interested.....then when you click it's a massive anti climax as you realise the YouTube headline is misrepresenting what it's about as you realise it's actually quite boring and wasn't worth visiting.

I've listened to it and it gives genuinely interesting info that Blades need to know about regards the loans of Rak Sakyi, Gilchrist and Souttar.

If you don't want to click I can save you time by revealing that
The JRS clause is that either CP or SU have the 1st week in Jan25 to decide on a recall.
Regards Gilchriest only Chelsea have the option on a recall but it must be decided in the 1st week in January.
Regards Souttar, Leicester have a recall clause but only if Souttar plays less that 50% of his matches.

Conclusion
Souttar is 100% here for the full season...which is useful info....that's great news.
Gilchriest is (my guess) 95% likely here for the full season (because Chelsea are unlikely to want him back in Jan to play in their 1st team)
Rak Sakyi is (my guess) 80% likely to be here for the full season so slightly more concerning (if Palace are struggling and JRS improves and plays brilliantly in the Championship then it's possible they might want him to return to be their impact sub to help them avoid relegation). However the presenter did mention that JRS is probably the easiest to replace out of the 3 because we have Andre Brooks.

Watched it earlier Hal. Good video. He looks like a cross between Dave (TV show rapper) and Eric Cantona. Smart dude 😊
Yeah it's a really good one this, Micky is either onto something Earth shattering which will change the football landscape forever or nothing will change at all and we'll all gradually forget about it...just needs buy in from us, the fans. That's why I wanted to make this video.

I’m just aware there are people who may not actually know of some of the YouTube content, no matter how mainstream, so thought it worth posting every now a again, regardless of what I think about his content. Nothing in particular about that video that made me do it. I haven’t watched it tbf so can’t judge

I think you were absolutely right to do it, Hal. It’s a fascinating issue.
Whatever the outcome, I think it’s really important to at least have the discussion/debate. Every journey starts with a single step and all that. Getting fans all over the country talking about would be a massive first step. (And it wouldn’t harm his book sales.)
I don’t want to be too pessimistic, but I fear there will be too many vested interests opposing it for it to succeed…but there just may be room for some interesting victories along the way. 🤷‍♂️

Jesus, someone's getting carried away (not watched it yet, just going off title). Not sure who the host is, but I don't think he's a blade. I've asked previously but not had a reply. Unsure if he does other content.

Watched the SUW video, eventually.
It does present some very useful ideas and thinking points, even if some of those ideas are very grand and aspirational.
I have also read some of the detail regarding a UK appointed Football Tsar.

I am sure there is much more detail in the book, and the government have promised more detail in the proposed White Paper.
I suspect that your support leans toward the author and his ideas, and I know initial reactions from the football authorities regarding government control Support from is negative as you would expect.

IMHO both ideas are absolutely necessary, but while government political involvement will always be amateurish and underfunded, the other idea remains too idealistic, and is riddled with political involvement throughout.

In an attempt to solve these issues, the merits of both ideas should be joined and co opted in a positive way. The best of both worlds is the way ahead. The game does need support to resolve sustainability issues currently rife within football.

Support from government through legislation will give it the necessary clout and provides a big stick to enforce ideas. Although the Tsar has been adopted by the Labour Party manifesto, any idea of someone making a profit from this will be frowned upon. Labour will insist on elements of Diversity, Equality and inclusion, which should carry less weight initially, until the ideas creste greater acceptance. EDI should of course be an aspiration, but not the highest priority.

Give it a run as a combined enterprise of government legitimacy and free market policies. You cannot do it without both.

Fuck me, we are actually good at something.

Spoiler alert - We place higher than the rust bucket

Sharing this so people who follow this thread as a way to discover new blades-containing content providers see this lad. He's a Barnsley lad but I genuinely think he's going places if he plays the game well going forward. Good personality. Natural hatred of us, of course, but even more-so of Leeds and Wendy. He's worth a follow as his vids are entertaining. This isn't his best, but he's learning on the job

He's a good watch and I can't get through most youtube football content as they tend to make me cringe. The best ones are always where the 'content' feels authentic and this lad is authentically Barnsley and rattles along about football in a natural and entertaining way. Hates all things Sheffield and that's the way it should be. Confirmed that he hates SWFC the most in his latest video.

Watched that earlier today. He’s really good. I think he will go a long way. Only think he’s had his channel for 6 months or so. Makes me laugh in every video. Actually looked forward to hearing him slag us off in this vid and was a bit disappointed he didn’t go all in. I love in his weekly prediction/reaction videos how he just won’t talk about Wendy 🤣

Was just going to post this jono_t2000. We need to merge vloggage and this thread maybe.

Again, more YouTubers absolutely "one handed vaulting" over us this season.

Technically slight difference, a Vlog is a Video Log capturing the experience of live experiences such as going to a match and so on.
