Great call by Wilder on retaining Brooks looks like youth will be given a chance.

Whether there is any truth in the Jagielka rumour remains to be seen but we need to seek long term replacement for Wilder and who better than a former legend?

We may have to mix it up a bit next season compared to the champagne football last year so good to see Wilder talking this into account with his strategy.

I know Billy has been our Captain this year but he's never struck me as a natural leader or likely to be able to man manage a football squad.

If he were to manage us one day it wouldn't necessarily make him a better leader just because he's a Blade.

Just to play devils advocate here for a minute.

Think we need to see wilder actually utilise some of the youth before we commend him for the decision.

It's difficult to change a winning side I know but he has been very cautious with some of the young lads (chapman, Riley, brooks, whiteman, ransdale etc) Not suggesting they don't need to earn a start/appearance but...

When promotion was assured it would have been the perfect opportunity to give some of these lads a try especially when we were cruising in games. Will we really have that opportunity next year??

This is not a dig at Captain Morgs but as much as he was a born leader and always gave everything as a player I highly doubt he's got enough of a tactical brain to be a football manager, he's probably better off staying as a coach or assistant manager and would be fine as a caretaker manager for a brief period of time.
