I'd love this to work. I just don't think there's enough in the center of the park, i always want to play a guy like Baxter but I think Coutts has a more rounded game-so would probably get my vote.
That said, with Done and Che on the wings it would really stretch their midfield and maybe give Bash and Jose more time on the ball.

I agree with these comments. Although it looks great on paper attacking wise, I worry defensively here and with us being away from home, I dont see this being played. Maybe the game will end like that after subs, but I doubt we'll start with that line up.

well I like to be controversial ;)

(I also think that Wallace actually makes as many and the same mistakes as McEveley but isnt picked up on them by the masses)
I must be one of them masses you are talking about, what are the mistakes that Wallace has made in the last two games at left back?

JT64, having watched the first 2 months of the season, what has been your view of Sharp so far?

We could eliminate all of his goals and we would be one point worse off. Particularly after we got Sammon on loan, which provides a focal point for attacking moves, it was and still is my view that we had enough attacking capabilities to get what we need to get out of the division. It's incredibly difficult to see whether he is providing any value over whatever player Adkins would have used instead of him, particularly when we could have used the resources to get Sharp could have been put into getting the centre back that we have needed for nearly a year, need now, and still need, which'd do a lot more to getting us promoted than adding a slightly different option up top. Half of the division have conceded less than us, heck, half of the fucking relegation zone have conceded less than us.

Sharp? Great, he scores goals. Score useful goals that other people we could use wouldn't have done.

Howard
Freeman
Edgar
Collins
K.wallace
Adams
Basham
Coutts
Done
Sharp
Sammon

I would go for :
Howard
Freeman Edgar Collins Wallace
Basham
Jcr (if fit) coutts adams
Sharp sammon

I would have baxter come on for coutts later on in the match as he starts to get a bit tired as i still don't think he is 100 percent
I would have done If he is fit enough to come on for jcr when the defenders figure him out and then move adams down the right and put done on the left. Or have done come on for sammon if he is is not playing very well and have done running at them with sharp up front.

Think the back 5 picks itself ATM.

Good that we are starting to have selection problems for the right reasons. Arguments that anyone out of Baxter, Coutts, Flynn, done, Sammon, Adams and reed should be in the 11.

Personally If we are playing 442 and can't shoehorn everyone in to some 4231 I would go...

Howard
Freeman Collins Edgar Wallace
Coutts basham Baxter Adams
Done sharp

Give done and sharp a try Uptop see how they get on...

The thing for me is the absence of a big lump (Sammon) up front is easily exploited by the opposition to constrict the play in midfield ( eg first half v Bradford) although Adams and Done both have pace and could exploit the space if Vale play a high line at the back. Done probably won't last 90 mins at this stage I don't think. I'd start with

Howard
Freeman, Edgar, Collins, Wallace
Adams, Basham, Baxter, Coutts
Sharp,Sammon

Bench
Long
McEveley
Flynn
Reed
JCR
McNuts
Done

Well in the last home game on at least 2 occassions he got caught in possession (JM critisised a week or so before)

Giving away daft fouls around the box (and that was another just in this game as i speak... )not to mention the silly red card when baxter got sent off...

Misplacing passes i have witnessed on many occassions from Wallace.
