Whether it be Sheff Utd, shirts you've always liked the look of, or whatever, post 'em up! I have a few in mind;

Apart from that, Fenerbahce, Atletico Madrid & Sampdoria shirts always look pretty nice.

I loe the black and red pin stripe kit. the one with midas on it is terrible in my view (sorry!). i really liked our away kit which was yellow and red from the prem season. last seasons home kit was pretty smart aswell.

I owned both of these at different points in time. The green one is a Glentoran shirt and i had it for years, used to wear it a lot to play footy. Bought it from JJB in Meadowhall when they had loads of cheap obscure footy shirts and it cost me about £10 and i had it years

I used to play for 'the Glens' alongside a certain Glen Little. Made my debut in that shirt. Classic!

Loved the lace up collar, our best home shirt.

As for non Blades shirts, Atleti are my other love, this is my favourite.football_shirt_2186_1_500x374x1.jpeg

This next shirt, my brother owned and passed on to me. A fantastic Marseille team, Papin, Boli, Waddle pre Wendy. The sponsor and long sleeves is what makes it the iconic one.

And finally a shirt I bought as my five a side team played in all white. Forgot my kit so went to JJB and they had this one for a fiver. Absolutely banging shirt, figure hugging style so not worn it for a couple of years but it's poised to make a comeback on runs this summer. It's Racing Santander and oozes class, love it.images.jpeg

I loved the home kits from 2006/07 and 2007/08. The 2011/12 kit was nice too, no collar.
I liked the England shirt from the 2002 World Cup.

I was always embarrassed by this shirt and quite disappointed that Umbro couldn’t even be arsed to centralise the stripes in relation to collar. Poor quality shirt imo.
Agree, I’ve never quite understood the love - too thick stripes, don’t match up with the collar, badge on a weird shield thing. Each to their own though :D

I can’t believe how I’d never actually noticed that before. I now can’t unsee it.

Shirt ruined.

For me football shirts are iconic for many reasons. Sometimes you see a shirt and know exactly what team it is regardless of where you see it. It reminds you of a part in your life around that time. You may have owned the shirt or it just reminds you of a certain player.

As a kid, I would own loads of shirts, not just United ones.. United were my team and always have been but I just liked wearing football shirts to wear in the park or in PE etc..

Here are a few stand out kits that are lodged in my head for one reason or another.

Barca 80s shirt... I owned this shirt and had the yellow and sky blue away versions too. It's an iconic shirt.

Leeds early 90s. As a 7/8 yr old, I had no hatred towards Leeds. They were around this time one of the best teams in the country and a joy to watch with players Strachan, McAllister, Speed etc.. Seeing this shirt just reminds you of how good a team they were.

Man utd 92-93 Away.. What a shirt. One of the best shirts to ever grace the Premiership. I don't know why and I don't even like the colours together. Always loved this for some reason.

My uncle had this shirt and I used to wear it on the field whenever I used to stay at their house in the summer holidays.. He's an XL... I was about 8.. What a tit i must've looked

Rangers 92-94... I had this shirt. Bought it from Doncaster one year. I remember we went Xmas shopping and I begged my mum to get it me. She told me I could have it for Xmas (i still got stuff for Xmas).

Lazio... Just reminds me of Paul Gascoigne. Used to watch Italian football on Channel 4 after I'd played Sunday league footy.

Another Man Utd entry. Another simple kit. Always liked this. I think, maybe Darren can confirm. MUFC played in this at BDTBL and beat us 3-0. I think this was the only time during Squad Numbers that a team played players 1 - 11?!?

Liverpool 96-97 Away. I had this shirt. What a great colour, not sure anybody else has used these colours before? Reminds me of a great season Liverpool had after Euro 96 after they'd signed Patrick Berger and Michael Owen was coming on the scene.

The green and yellow man utd shirt ,I'm sure the first time they wore that was a defeat at the mighty Sheffield United.
I may be wrong but i think I'm right

Wouldn't have thought it was the first time they wore it!? We played them in the FA Cup RD5 in February. Unless it was introduced mid season, surely they wore it before then??

We beat them twice at the lane that season... 1st ever PL game (they wore blue) and then the Cup Game.

I always liked green and white halves when I was designing my FM team kits - though I could never find a team who used those colours. Always seemed to work well with black shorts.

Anyone know of a team using green and white halves?

Jnr with his burgeoning collection. Added Montpellier, Rimini and quite frankly gorgeous Saint Etienne 3rd. You can get some right bargz in the kids section on classicfootballshirts.

Good knowledge!! They wore their blue away kit all season. The first time the third kit was worn was the FA Cup 5th RD game at the lane. 👏👏

Love the old traditional'Arsenal shirt from the sixties and seventies, with just canon as badge.

The one I've always loved, but never owned.

Controversial as it might be, one of my favourites as a kid. Wish I'd never given mine away.

And probably my all time favourite as a kid:

As a kid I thought this one completely 'nailed it' the colours were spot on. Even Doncaster kids bought this if they were rich enough, if they weren't they got the Subbuteo version instead.

Any ideas which team, answers from under 30s only please, and what their nickname was then?
The Glaziers, and I agree, a superb kit.

Didn’t Werder Bremen have a half and half green and white shirt at one time?
If not Betis maybe

Edit - this close enough?
