Fuck em. I didn't mind Boro but I was pissed off with how they over did the celebrations at the Lane where the 'oles' came out and they clearly thought they would overtake us that night. Didn't quite work out for them as they planned. So, whilst I still have no beef with them (good club and good fans) I do hope they don't go up this season. It would make me smile for their OTT celebrations that night. Luton or Millwall for me in the PO's.

Carrick over Hecky for possible manager of the year?

If they don't go up via PO's Carrick will be tapped up, taking on a PL post just like fat Frank. It'll end up a free for all to sign their better players. Then they'll struggle next season, like they did early doors this year.

Would much rather Luton or Millwall, just so one of the relegation places are filled up.

It got a bit nervy, no doubt about it but 11 point gaps allow the team in front to have a very big wobble and still be in a decent position. Boro played out of their skin but could not afford any slips ups, even when we were losing.

Fair play to them and Luton for both finishing the seasons so strongly, but really there was no chance they were going to catch us. As hard as it was for some on here to admit, we were just too fucking good.

And for being a set of chirpy, cocky cunts, I hope that both crash and burn in the playoffs. Personally I would like to see Sunderland go up. Millwall would also be hilarious, just to see how the sanitised PL would react.

Not sure Boro were that outstanding at the Lane to be honest. They won't and deservedly so. Played well. But I do think we were the architects of our own downfall that night. Missed easy chances early on when they couldn't live with us and then let some really sloppy goals to in against us. The occasion got to us I think and they had nowt to lose. A soon as they had something to play for and it got closer, their arses went. But back to that night. We played wide open after getting an early lead and when we should have sat in and picked them off, we went all out and were picked off ourselves. Played into their hands and it was poor tactically. Still, no harm done in the end.

Luton are the form team atm I personally believe never change a winning team momentum is everything in football carrick has fucked up at boro resting players with 3 games of the season still to play Get your money on Coventry to win playoffs

I said at the time it didn’t matter if they beat us. It went a little closer than I expected at one point, but the sentiment of what was said before we played Boro remained. We had too much experience

I was always confident that we would prevail - mainly as our run in was a lot nicer than either of Luton or Boro

However I did expect after we lost to Luton to drop into third at some point. The fact that didn't happen shows just how good our form has been (and how bad Boros has been) in the last part of the season - wins at Norwich and Sunderland being key...

Wasn't the gap 4 points after the Luton defeat and Boro then had what lookrd like a straightforward home game (Bristol City?) and we had a difficult game at Sunderland? That could have reduced it to 1, and then seen us go down to 3rd, as we had the Cup QF the following weekend.

As it happened, they drew, we won and we never looked back...
