If you scooped the £150 million jackpot on the euro millions tonight would you invest in Sheffield United??

No way. I'm not saying it wouldnt cross my mind but I can think of far better ways to invest the money.

The first thing I would do is ensure my family were sorted and then I would make a business investment.

Much as I love them, SUFC wouldnt see a penny.

I would only invest in football if I was a billionaire, so had more money than I could ever possibly spend.

In today's terms even the whole £150M wouldn't make a great difference in football.

That's more-or-less the amount Man City's owner lost in his 1st full season

Fair point i was having similar thoughts, i think i'd set up a meeting to discuss with them but i wouldn't want to part with to much.

Beyond a season ticket for myself and my family and mates, a parking space in the car park and a box every now and again as a treat, nope.

If my tall, dark and handsome billionaire is reading this... he can feel free to dip into his wallet though.

Only for you!

I'd stretch to giving the club £10m to subsidise ST and ticket prices for the next decade to fill the ground and build the support base for the next generation and finish off the pigs.

And i'd bung them £20m if it could be ring fenced for the development of young players and more importantly - keeping young players at the club.

If things go well I'd consider getting the capacity up to 40,000 - provided we rename the new stand the Tunstall Stand - and take the roof back off the Kop bogs.

I might stick a million or so in on the proviso that it went on a player. But other then that, no I wouldn't invest.

Wouldn't you slowly asset strip them down through the leagues until they were contenders for the Northern Counties East League Division 3 title...

:D

Of course. Buy them. Review the books. Accuse ther previous regime of mis-management. Sell the ground to me (I learnt that one from Evil Santa up the M1). Build the factory for 'Wednesday Pork Products Ltd.' Groundshare with Rovrum at Don Valley. Decry the relegation to Division 4. Lambast the council for the rent costs at DV. Move to share with Hallam. Promise a swift exit from the conference etc. etc.
