Fantastic match.

We absolutely dominated them, that second half in particular was such a good performance.

McBurnie was utterly unplayable!

Just shows how much Pashun and work rate can make a difference. I feel exhausted watching those highlights, the speed of play was just so much quicker than we have seen for the past couple of seasons.

I know it’s probably rose tinted glasses but I feel like that breakneck speed was the same over the entire game. One of our best performances in recent years for sure.
Burnley were top of the table and unbeaten in ages going into it.

I felt so confident of promotion after that game*

*Narrator - Sheffield United then lost 1-0 at home to Rotherham United 3 days later, who recorded their one and only away win that season

Had to chuckle after their 2nd goal and commentator says "the one person you don't want the ball to fall to..." Just assumed he was going to continue by saying "Jack Robinson"! 😂

Back when we were a a bloody good side with the world at its feet, only to have the rug pulled from under it.

I sat burning my data attempting to watch this in a heaving indoor play area in the Mall of Scandinavia - a hell hole to rival all hell holes.

Remember they were tired having beaten Barnsley ( I think it was Barnsley) in the 90 something minute on the Wednesday and we had extra recovery from Tuesday -c/o Scott Parker

Yes, one of the best days in recent memory. We absolutely battered them (even Robbo gave them a head start!)

Ndiaye, Norwood, Berge, McAtee, Ahmedhodzic, Bogle, Egan, Baldock (RIP), McBurnie... what a side we had. Some great individual players, but more importantly, a team of fighters who gave everything for the badge. The current dross we have isn't a patch on most of them.

I'd go back there and when I ended up bumping into Iliman N'Diaye I'd tell him that I have predicted the future before. And that the way he ends up becoming one of the best players in the premier league and across Europe is to sign the deal United put in front of him at the end of the season.

At which point this turns out to be some sort of time warp distortion and the universe ends.
