If Wilder stays as manager for season are we going to win a match this season with his poor tactics and team selection problems at present.

The Manager will always take the fall in times like these but we could also ask 'will we win a game this season unless the majority of our players actually start performing to even 50% of their abilities?

Will Fleck and Stevens improve their mental approaches to levels that they reached 'pre-pay rise'? Will Berge actually ever look like he is going to adapt to the pace of the game? Will Norwood ever beat that first man with a set-piece? Will Lundstram find any kind of consistency in any 45 minute period, let alone a run of matches. Will we ever see Basham cross the halfway line again? Will Ramsdale actually make a correct decision to come and get a cross....and actually get there? Will we ever look like we aren't going to concede from a corner? And most obviously, will McBurnie ever play two consecutive matches when he isn't spineless, lazy, useless, and a complete waste of a shirt, let alone a center-forward that looks hungry to get on the end of a move or pose any sort of realistic threat?

Yes, the manager picks the team and signs the players. He also devises the tactics, which at times have not been great, but this team was performing brilliantly last term, both individually and as a unit. This season they are unrecognizable in every department. That has to come down to their mentality as I'd be amazed if any of them said the drop-off was down to anything the manager was doing completely differently.

Wilder still has the passion and commitment. In my opinion, it's the players that need to be looking at themselves in the mirror. They are cheating the club.
