What is the obsession with fucking squad fillers in our fans heads.

If they aren't good enough to push a first team player out of his position, don't fucking bother with them.

I think we will get 1 more striker. Chris said that Brewster would be 1 of the 4, so I imagine Moore, Campbell (who will also cover AM) and 1 other will make up that group. Ryan will be loaned out I reckon.

Other than that, we are still light at RB. I am assuming that Shackleton will be primarily covering CM, and even though he can play RB, we need another specialist. Sirki looked great the other night, but is he ready to cover over a long championship season?

If we don't sell anyone, this should be enough, otherwise we will need to replace whoever goes.

One more striker, probably a big and strong one to push and cover for Moore, would be good. Not too fussed if it's a young one, or another experienced guy, but that's the type I'd look for.

If we can find a good option we could allow One to go on loan.

I'd go after Cannon, Stuart Armstrong and one more CF. Maybe one that can play off the left.

The last we heard re: Armstrong was that we'd had positive talks but it was takeover dependent. Maybe that landscape has shifted since we've sold a few. He went on trial with Brentford a few weeks ago and heard nothing since.

If teams try to press us high up the pitch Campbell may be a good striker option for us, as there wold be space in behind. But if team find out it's more effective to defend deep against us, Campbell would probably be more of an option out wide, in which case we'd need someone similar to Moore as cover/competition in the central striker role.

So have a back up of players that are good enough to offer decent squad rotation, not just a bunch of League One and Two misfits that will never get a game unless there's twelve injuries.

This is the mistake this club has made throughout it's entire history and the reason why we could compile a million pages of the "Worst Sheffield United Player Ever"

It's like Liverpool signing some injury prone, never played at a higher than Championship level and been fairly unimpressive at that striker just in case Mo Salah gets injured.

Compared to a few weeks ago I'm very happy with the squad and wouldn't be critical if we go with what we've got. There's always room for improvement though.

If we sell anyone important they will need replacing and another centre forward would be great. It's the one area we are weaker than last season.

I don't get the concern about right back. Gilchrist, Shackleton, and Seriki give us different options and depth.

Apart from that, I would offload Coulibaly, Grbic, and maybe Slimane. Keep Blaster, Brookes, Seriki, Peck, and Faxon in the squad and loan out the other youngsters (add Marsh and/or One to that list if we don't get in another striker).

I think this would give us a strong squad of 25/26 with 3 x GK, 10 x Defenders, 6 x CM, 3/4 x wingers, 3 x strikers (and a fair number of interchangable options for cover).

Still think we’ll sell one of the ‘big hitters’ anel I think most likely- so a replacement for him in worrall or mepham might happen.

Away from the nutter, we need another 3. CF, LW, CM.
