Somebody on Twitter has pitched an idea to Phipps and Baki that we play Fenerbache in a charity game, raising money for the families of the turkish miners that have tragically lost their lives this week, and according to Jim Phipps he's going to look into it

Fair enough. Fenerbahce are about as an exciting prospect as Frickley to be honest, but charity is charity.
Can't see the club going for it though, with all the costs involved the gate money wouldn't go much further than cover those would they? Can't see many turning up for it. Im so desperate for it all to start again that i usually attend 1st team friendlies at home and away, within a reasonable distance, but apart drom the day out they can be pretty boring if the opposition is poor. We need one to spark the imagination and a game against the turkish champions to raise funds for the miners may attract a 10000 plus crowd, maybe more if their fans living here turn up from near and far because they'll not get to see them that often.
