Why should we inflict the arrogant (but massive ) piggy scum on ourselves ??!!
Lets go for a proper football team, so we can enjoy the football.
We would never get teams like Barcelona or Real Madrid as they will all be too busy fighting with each other for who gets to play "the massive" in a friendly.

Not been to bradford PA before, i've seen us play bradford city at valley parade, odsall stadium and elland road in league games which must be pretty unusual, we scored 4 at both odsall and elland rd

The only remotely interesting thing about a friendly against a big club is the fact you might see some players you would ordinarily only see on TV.

I couldn't tell you one player that plays for Fenerbahce, so that wouldn't be a particularly big draw, and if we played a proper big club, they would likely stick the reserves and youth team in. Because of this, I don't see the point in a "showpiece" friendly.

Just let Mr. Clough prepare the team for the season as he sees fit.

According to 11v11 website, our first game was against Notts Rangers ! We lost 4-1 away. Presumably a friendly

Our first cup game that season was a 6-1 win at Scarborough. McCabe should be able to sort that.

Pierre Webo's been to a couple of world cups before. Emre was at Newcastle previously. They've got plenty of Turkish internationals that we don't know because we've stopped being continually drawn against them in qualifiers
