will WE be the top team in yorkshire?

It is true that a team can play really well and not get the result they may well deserve.

For instance, how many times has that fat fucking octopus Pressman been the only thing stopping us thoroughly tonking Wednesday, and how many times after the match have Blades lamented over a beer or three that we deserved to thrash them?

I never understand the point that if a keeper plays well the other team must have deserved a win. Goalkeepers get paid a lot of money by a team to keep goals out. If a team pays well for a good shot stopper and he keeps them in a game, they deserve what they get. It's only the same as a striker having a birthday and scoring a hat trick.

Simple fact is, if Piggy Pressman, one of their players, stopped us scoring we didn't deserve to score.

He is a fat piggy twat though!

There's an element of truth in this, although I don't entirely agree. I think Evans has been hugely disappointing, but it is not all his own fault. He looked razor sharp early on, but then seemed to lose confidence. However, blackwells usage of him has to come into question. Early on (an throughout the whole season) Blackwell opted for the lone striker role (with hendo or later cressy) and hence Ched was on the bench. It was obviously difficult for him to get momentum, although he could/should have taken his chances better. He looked to be forming a decent partnership with Cresswell in January and (again) Blackwell fucked it up by bringing Henderson back into the team after injury. I think Evans was also lacking in confidence. I remember thinking, if he gets a gola he may go onto get another 10. He hit the post, bar etc on several occasions and it's now a case of what if's. The bottom line is that Ched Evans has had a very disappointing season, but with better tactics and man management it could have been a different story.

I understand what you are saying its just players seem under perform when they come here. Evans scored 4 goals in 21 apps for us, 10 in 20 for Norwich and a v good Wales record. I think the guy has massive potential next season could be interesting. I'd actually like to see him at another championship club just out of interest.

here we go. Thanks for your fantastic insight. If you believe that a team gets exactly what they deserve after 90 minutes then there is no point in us debating.

Earlier in the Premisership season Spurs beat Wigan 9-1. The stats (i.e. possession and shot on target) where the same for when Spurs drew 0-0 with Hull in a game a couple of months later. The fact is that Spurs were desperately unlucky and should have won that game. This is one of many countless examples where a team can get the outcome they don't deserve.

Oooo sorry for disagreeing with you. Is that not allowed?

Spurs DESERVED to win 9-1 because they scored nine goals!! Spurs DESERVED to draw 0-0 with Hull - The fact is that spurs failed to score and so should not have won the game. Beat around the bush all you want with your stats, but all that matters is who scores the most goals.

There's more to it than that. There's poor refereeing decisons to start with. Also if you hit a bar or a post then you are unlucky. Some shots that hit the inside of the post or underside of the bar could go in one day and not another (due to wind, or hitting the keepers back, defenders, attakcers in the right place). What about deflected shots. They are unlcuky. Do you think Newcastle deserved a win at Bramall Lane earlier this season. There goal was a farce. A blatant foul and then a deflected shot. That ball could have hit Morgs and gone anywhere. The ref could/should also have given a foul.

Oooo sorry for disagreeing with you. Is that not allowed?

It was the way you said it. Coming on the forum and saying your opinion is crap is a little bit aggressive. Maybe if i came on and said that's a crock of shit or load of bollocks to your post you wouldn't get offended. However, generally, on this forum we tend to find it a bit abusive. But, of course disagreeing is allowed, it's a forum. I'm happy to debate any issue with anyone. If we all had the same opinion then it would be boring.

Well I disagree with you. Spurs deserved to beat Hull by a handsome scoreline. Hull were awful and whilst Spurs rattled the woodwork, had a goal disallowed and the Hull keeper had a game of his life. I'm sure that every Hull fan watching that game will admit that they didn't deserve a point.

Basegreen, do you remember the South Korea Spain game in the World Cup of 2002? Do you think that Korea deserved to win the tie?? Also, how about Sheff Utd vs Liverpool first game of the prem season. Do you think Liverpool deserved a point after they blatantly cheated to score there only goal?

How very boring. "I'm not pathetic, you're pathetic, I'm not insecure, there's only one other who is insecure, you don't read my posts". Oh dear.

You exposed one of my points (on contracted players). Then you failed to acknowledge my arguments and avoided the points that I made. I start to quiz you about your actual position and you started to get upset complaining that 'I don't read your posts'.

I never got aggressive with you, you just misinterpreted my style. However in future would you like to start questions with sir, or the righ honourable gentleman or something?!

Heh...yes I'm the boring one fella

At least I can read ;)

3 or 4 times you've blatantly misread my posts, but again never mind that.

And reading back through our posts, it's little wonder why you come across as aggressive. Maybe you don't read my posts properly cause you're getting so angry whilst bashing out your message? I noticed a few typos in your posts as well so it might be that.

But on the flipside he had similarly abysmal scoring records for Wales and Man City, higher level maybe so but it's not like he's been banging in the goals all his career. In fact he only ever seemed to score against very poor U21 teams for Wales, the likes of Azerbaijan and NI.

Oh and when you see Evans dribbling 30 yarders wide, wandering around on the halfway line, falling over etc...then I think he holds the vast majority of the blame for his shocker of a season. There's no getting around that, even when he's had the ball in good positions he's generally wasted it.

Yes is suppose i did come on a bit strong - sorry for that

I'm still going to dissagree with you on the spurs v hull thing and we're obviously not going to come to a compromise haha. Hull may have been awful, but they obviously deserve a point as they managed to keep a clean sheet (makes no difference if it was all the goalkeepers doing). And the hull fans don't think they deserved a point then they were wrong :p

However, i do agree that if you cheat, you don't deserve to gain as you're essentialy not playing the same game as the opposition.

No worries.

But you still haven't asnwered my question about South Korea vs Spain.

Ok, so on the cheating thing. Players cheat all the time and they gain from it. Also team benefit from poor refereeing decisions also. Do you agree with that? So for example Man U or Liverpool might finish in an inflated position at the end of the season because they get some dodgy penalties, cheat or whatever (not may would deny the big 4 get the rub of the green in terms of decisions and it does not even itself out over the seaon).

Poor decisions (and cheating) are elements of the randomness I was talking about. Luck is also another element (althought something tells me you won't agree on that). Randomness means that the league table does lie. It seems a pretty wayward concept when you first think about it. But as you think about it more and more it makes sense (although I appreciate it might not for everyone).

We deserve,as fans to be yorkshires top team.we as fans put up with so much shit.but we still fukin luv em
