I've said it'll be done in time for the January window, which coincidentally is exactly the same thing I thought this time last year. So I clearly know nowt.

I’d go with “no” based on the experience of having gone through a couple of business sales on a much smaller scale in the past.

Due diligence and funding approval take long enough even in a buoyant economy, the economy is shit and then you add in the EFL tests, it won’t be a quick process.

My personal belief is there interest, but it’s in its early stages and it’s currently no where near the current owners valuation.

..but it probably is useful for the owner to spin it out for a while as it is an easy deflection for any transfer dealing questions, I think we will have this owner still in place next summer.. gods knows where the club will be at that point.

Can we have a "I don't know I'm only going off a few press mentions and a delayed retained list as any kind of evidence of a multi million pound business transaction" option

The new owners influencing Ozzy’s release decision is odd, it’s either bullshit and there’s another reason or the deal is presumably imminent.

No one has any idea how long we have been in discussions with this interested party

Honest answer, I don't know. But it worries me as any potential hold ups in the sale stopping Wilder from signing players will hamper our pre-season again. I don't want to go through another pre-season of watching the academy kids due to lack of signings and injuries etc.

We need to hit the ground running this summer. We can't afford to allow this to drag out and miss out on players, or equally as bad, the players turning up late and haven't had a pre-season due to being free agents, so we don't see them until the end of September, by which point with the 2 point deduction and thread bare squad as it stands, could drag us into the bottom three again.

Do I have faith in the Prince to sort this quickly? Nope. I wouldn't even trust him to wipe his arse with his own brand of bog roll.

Well if it's the reason Osborne contract won't be offered it seems mighty close

If they are getting involved in contract extensions they must be close

It also potentially that the prospective new owners have been watching us last season and have been paying attention. Any new owner who knows not a lot about us would have no reason to vito a new contract to Osborn. I'm guessing that they have ambitions and want rid of injury prone players. Will McBurnie be next to have his contract withdrawn?

This could also spell the end for Wilder. Surely a new owner who's been watching would look at that shambles of a season along with the signings of Grbic and Holgate and come to the conclusion that this ain't the man for us.

New owners hopefully would want a complete clearout of deadwood, injury prone I.e. Mcburnie, RND, Egan, new manager and staff in place for next season beginning

New owner/s? Strangely I want a new manager in place as much as new owner/s, even though we do need new owner/s as the bigger priority as the Prince can't carry on funding the club longer term.

This is what the state my club is in has done to my thinking!
