Credit to the owners at Wrexham they seem to have got a plan. They'll be strong team from top to bottom!.
Yes its the Bournemouth model of a few years ago (21/22) when they were in the Championship...spend spend way past your means and blow bubbles at the financial rules to get promoted to the Prem...EFl cant touch you as long as you stay in the Prem.

This will put the cat amongst the pigeons. Wrexham are building a decent squad, but I can see it being an expensive gamble that fails. Unless a certain dinosaur replaces the current incumbent.....

Wrexham are building a solid squad which should avoid relegation but they have next to zero pace or athleticism and they're going to have to undergo another major rebuild in the next 1-3 years as the core of their squad is 30+. They also have the same problem we had* when it comes to replacing the manager in that Parkinson has built the exact squad he wants for his agricultural route-one hoofball.

*Ours wasn't a squad for hoofball but it was a squad which needs a ridiculously rigid tactical structure which is Wilder's single most obvious trait.

Wrexham are not getting promoted, not even close, that's the difference

EFL probably won't touch you if you get relegated either - see Leiceseseicester!

Bournemouth had an extremely good squad in that season- I doubt a single one of Wrexham's current players would be in their starting XI.
I think the thing that is holding Wrexham back this season is their recruitment & manager. They've got the budget to do it if they get it right, I could see Wilder replacing Parkinson
