Will our strikers score before Christmas?

We bought one don't forget. His name is Lyle Taylor. He was prolific in Scotland don't you know. He seems to have gone missing though, anyone seen him?

From what i've been told from today the biggest problem is our supply from wide areas and the defence

To be honest we were poor all over the pitch. Negative, too slow, not enough closing down of opponents and zero goal threat. A lot has been said about Weir trying to introduce a better style of play. Other than against 10 man Notts Co I've not seen any evidence of it. The main change in our play is that, incredibly, we are even more negative than last season.

The only bright spot was that Baxter showed flashes of quality. If we sign about 8 more of his quality we should be ok....

From looking at the score and previous scores from the last 5 games... it's our attack which is the biggest problem

Maybe. But we have also failed to keep any clean sheets so far this season.

Last time he was League One, he was 29 appearances with zero goals for Bournemouth.
His holiday in Scotland doesn't seem to have helped.

Didn't he miss another sitter today along with Brandy.

Yes, Baxter's shot was deflected and Taylor slid to reach the loose ball and his bad placement made the ball go wide pas the far post. Brandy's miss was from a lovely low pass by Baxter and the MK Dons keeper and defender expected Ironside to touch the ball as he slid and they werent at all ready for the unmarked Brandy at the far post and he had time to use his favoured right foot

Baxter will score, I was quite impressed with him.

Taylor doesn't look like he'll score but I would start with replacing all our wide men.

McMahon
Hill
Flynn
Murphy

None of them good enough.

Hope this new bloke does have deep pockets

Miller was atleast scoring goals before his injury. Can he play the lone striker role in not sure but he definitely knows were the net is. Taylor doesn't seem able to hold the ball up and his first touch was Monty quality today

Our strikers are to scared to score they want to stay with us but they know should they score McCabe will sell them. If they don't score nothing they can stay here with the beutifull Blades.

It's not just the strikers. It's definitely the lack of supply both in terms of quality and quantity of chances crreated.
If you only get one chance in a game each time and you fluff it you are not going to gain any confidence and then you are on a downward spiral.
Weir has already cottoned on to the fact that Porter needs to move out.
He has seen what we have in the supply line as well and he is not very impressed.
I can see that there will be a fair few changes taking place if Weir gets his way.

Baxter is an excellent signing and if the vid of Cuvellier is accurate then he will be a very useful addition as well.

We need to get shot of players like Porter, Murphy, and Flynn and replace them with dynamic, forceful individuals that will make the difference in a game. Whilst I cannot fault their effort and honest endeavour, these guys just go through the motions when it comes down to being effective.

Any talk of Weir being given the heave-ho is ludicrous.
He will change this depressing bunch of no hopers and replace them with proper footballers who can deliver the sort of play he is looking to drive.
